OcUK Mafia game thread -Game 5

Frankly it's impossible to convince someone you're town. Continuously stating it as an absolute just makes you look guilty.

I hope people do consider me as mafia, it's important to take into account my actions and behaviour (and peoples behaviour towards me) if we're going to find the mafia. Stating absolutes in this game (whether it's something like 'mafia don't vote for each other' or that someone is town (unless we as a group know for absolute sure) just harms the town's efforts.

I'm stating absolutes because from my points of view it is absolute, it is now up to those that are town to take from it and make a decision. And the mafia to do what you are doing and try and devalue it. Any reason your trying to take apart my theory? is it because i have called out pudney, your mafia partner?
 
Lol not at all, I've already said I suspect Pudney of being mafia. I'm just saying that stating you and chris are both definitely town is misleading. One we all know is true, the other only you know is true. Misleading the town is something mafia try to do isn't it?

Yes misleading is a mafia tactic but that is not my intention. My intention is to ensure the town get a mafia member otherwise its gg and the mafia have won.
 
Ok, so my primary suspect is Leprechaun. I agree with some of Pudney's points about him.

Despite what others have said about why Leprechaun was questioning people's votes, we don't necessarily know his real motives. I see behaviour like that as discouraging discussion and voting, not as a generator of discussion.

Speaking of discussion, Lep wanted to save Fortyseven, our least vocal member. Always good for mafia to have townie lurkers hanging around to slow the town down.

Leprechaun had every chance yester-game-day to change his vote after I claimed Malt and myself but left it to Pudney to save our Jailkeep. It was the best info we had - if I was lying I'd be lynched the next day, swiftly followed by Malt for a town win. No reason not to at least unvote, or preferably move to a better target to secure a different lynch.

I still think Shami is mafia. However, Chris and Pudney have made good reasoned arguments for Leprechaun being his accomplice.

With that in mind to achieve a majority.

nope its defeatist town attitude, I die Mafia win. If i can't convince you the other townie isnt going to listen either, pudney and the other mafia member will be all over your vote.

The reason i didnt unvote malt was because there was no point after i had fought to get him lynched, meaning if your argument wasnt i didnt unvote it would be that i tryed so hard to get malt lynched. The reason i wanted 47 kept alive was because he was town, and even those that lynched him KNEW he was town but still killed him anyway.
 
From my point of view we have a 50-50 shot here. I can't see anything that proves anyone to be mafia. You're just my most likely candidate.

Would like to hear Shami's views on Leprechaun please
 
I still stand by the opinion Brabbinho is mafia, two days in a row I've failed to convince anyone else though. Changing my mind nearly had us lynch the jailkeeper until the last minute save from our tracker. I was leaning towards Pudney being the other mafia but now I'm really not sure. Chris presents a fairly good case though and as the known town member is probably the person I should listen to. I want to think on it a bit more and read through Leprechaun's posts again.
 
Urgh, I don't know. I'll get behind it if that is the town's consensus but I still think Brabbinho is mafia, maybe Leprechaun is his buddy buddy.
 
So there's an hour to go - if we get it wrong, it's an hour until the end of the game.

Are we happy with lynching Lep then? If so, Shami can you vote him to avoid any last minute unvote shenanigans? If not, lets hear the arguments one last time.
