AMD Radeon R9 295X2 to Get Promotional Price, Open to All

They aren't, if Gibbo is struggling to make them budge from 799 it's not going to get anywhere near 599 any time soon.

when they dont sell they will.

290s will drop so will these regardless. what dont people understand  pc parts been falling in sales for last 7 years !

so more sales in bound.

When you factor in what they are now and also space saved vs two cards and the cost of water cooling them then £700 is a very good deal specially with amds new games bundle.

The pendulum swings both ways though, the space saving equals lower manufacturing costs vs two 290X's, the AIO isn't really going to cost more than two decent air coolers, and it only gets one games bundle instead of two.

I'm not denying that £700 is a good price just pointing out the cards actually cheaper to make than two 290X's.

I said any time soon...

Price of a 290 has nothing to do with this card either.

You should watch our stock levels, they are still selling for us at over £1000 sell price, just slow, about one a day.

If it cannot hit the £599 mark or £699 + psu/SSD itll be disappointing. If it wasent for the Titan this card would have been £800 at launch max. Think some peoples perception of "good value" has gone out the window cause were starting to get use to the normality of £1000+ gaming cards. Think the whole range of gpus are overpriced right now. Just my opinion though.

at £599 I might consider selling my 780s. 1 extra gig vram and more space in the case/less overall heat would be sure nice. But is it more powerful than 1000mhz 780s?

Ok I've looked everything up and taken physx into account and found 295X2 beats 780sli at 4k by 30%. With less noise and heat too. I will probably put my cards on MM as they are evga superclocks and fetch a nice price. They will mostly cover the £599 if it is.

If the price stays at 799 I'm afraid that's too much for me. Even with a psu bundle. That price should have been at launch with a further reduction now in anticipation of the new Nvidia cards.
