*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

The drums of hype are beating louder and I'm getting more excited for this! Am doing a night shift on the day before and the day of release though. :(

I think I am going to get this, I wasn't going to, but some of the recent videos have got me hyped.

My main problem is that I don't have any friends in my timezone (AET) - so if anyone is going to be a regular player midweek from 1pm (or 11am after the clocks change) then add me on XBL: MadFruit :)

I think it was 6v6, at least in the Alpha/Beta. Dunno if there is any modes that will make it more than 12.

Thinking of getting this as I have £50 on a Game card. Trouble is you can't pre-order with a gift card from Game and I loathe Game's policy of adding a premium to the online price in store or not telling you the price until you turn up at the shop to pick up your pre-order. :/

Exodus Blue (Playstation exclusive)

Sorry if it's a repost, I only remember seeing some of it.

I hadn't actually realised how many of Destiny's voice's are done by people I really like

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2983582/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast

That list doesn't even include Terrence Stamp either and maybe more.

I thought a lot of the voices sounded very familiar but never gave it much thought.

I particularly like the 3 people doing the vanguards. Gina Torres (Warlock), Nathan Fillion (Hunter) and Lance Reddick (Titan) so that makes choosing a class even harder! lol

Plus it has Peter Stormare who is always good to listen to!

Destiny Beta was really fun to play and I love how the game is set up but the voice acting and music really tip it over the edge for me - as it does in many games. Not something I often think about, but when it's really good it does make all the difference.

Does it make me weird that I am tempted to have one of each class to hear all the voice acting?

I think the music and immersion is someothing that Bungie do very well. Halo being the perfect example of this, their mellow music for voice scenes or walking around but building to some big crescendo's for battle scenes.
