Cancelled my pre order, just have a feeling its going to be the biggest hype train so far! Think I'll wait for some reviews.
 
Amazon really won't post it early I think (and in my experience), earliest they'll post is saturday. I see them dispatching it monday (assuming you have it first class or next day), while it would be nice to get it monday so I can play it as early as possible on tuesday, I'm not overly fussed due to servers not going up until then (supposedly).

Please deliver it monday amazon, be cool :p

Yeah... there is no point in receiving the game early as the servers won't be live. Unless of course you want to look longingly at the box. In my experience Amazon dispatch the day before release.

Personally, I am picking mine up from local games shop at 9 am on Tuesday morning ;)
 
I had the beta but only had a blast on single player, did not get much time to play it really.

I have it preordered, personally from what I played of single player it was just like any other FPS. I hope the MP is good.

A few people seem to come to this conclusion, but didn't play the co-op Strike mission. That's what sets it apart from other FPS, for me at least.
 
Well mine got dispatched by express delivery this morning, so i'm guessing it will arrive tomorrow. Bah, going to have to ring up the courier and get them to hold it. I really wasn't expecting it to get sent off this early, but I can see why they did it as you cant play the game until the 9th anyway.
 
And the dispatch early delivery posts start :D I have ordered off Amazon and hope it comes on Tuesday but very early morning on Wednesday and away overnight I am not too fussed. As long as I have it by Thursday for a proper gaming session as no work on Friday :D

This has been hyped up but I am hopeful, the hype hasn't simply come from the devs or the normal review sites but from all the people who have played the alpha and beta. Also it's Bungie so that alone should mean it is enjoyable :) *

This is the first time I ever went digital for a full release - but I was told I had to book myself onto a H&S refresher as it's been a couple of years so I went ahead and booked 2-5pm on the 9th thinking 'well no point taking that day off in case post arrives in the afternoon'

What a tool - I'm not waiting on the post this time!! Ah well, I have made up enough hours to have 10th/11th off and already had 15th-17th off anyway.

Still, that H&S course is going to be extra extra boring when I get to go home and play Destiny once it finishes
 
Damn now I need to trust that GameStop won't shaft me! Just about to cancel my Amazon preorders of this...

Am looking forward to this - hoping its the same experience as the Beta just without the really annoying level cap.

Guys n gals. I have been seeing this everywhere and Im just wondering what the hell is all the fuss about?

Went into my local Game shop the other day, asked the dood there whats special about Destiny?

FPS... MMO... next game made by Bungie... etc etc...

What am I missing here? Graphically the game looks pretty but nothing I would say ground breaking? Gameplay wise just seemed to me to be a typical FPS?

Am I missing something here?
