Carbon fibre* innit bruv, shave off 5g, increase your BHP/ton, safe yo!
My bonnet is aluminium, so replacing it with (real) carbon fibre actually adds weight...
I've never heard of that, nor have I ever experienced such 'bonnet glare'.
probably one of the daft things people do somewhere in the world.
Like the people who proceed to put yellow filters on their headlights to make the headlight colour the same as the sort you'd find on top of an AA or RAC van.
Never understood that, presumably its supposed to make it easier on their eyes for night driving, but i've never found the standard headlight colour an issue. The light shines away from the driver after all![]()
Is this a carbon fibre covered fibreglass bonnet?
S2000s have aluminium bonnets and proper carbon ones are lighter (although not much). Cheaper Fibreglass framed ones are heavier than OEM
This used to be a legal requirement in France.
but we don't live in france ? so why do people have these stick on filters in england ?

My understanding is: both.
