Everyone is entitled to their opinions, on this and everything else. But you are assuming that everyone on here is wishing to give up their addiction to nicotine.
I can only speak for myself of course, but I have no inclination of giving up my addiction. I am happy with the way I administer it, regardless of possible long term health effects. I am confident that my current method of nicotine intake is orders of magnitudes safer than my previous method, which I was also more than happy to continue with.
It is good that you are offering advice on stopping smoking. But this does not necessarily translate directly to vaping. While many do vape as a means to quit their nicotine addiction, there are obviously many who are not simply "masking" their addiction, but are simply changing the method of delivery to a safer alternative.
You're analogy doesn't directly translate either, as the main draw back of conventional smoking is the carcinogenic properties of inhaled tobacco smoke. Not, indeed, the properties of the nicotine itself, which is otherwise almost harmless.
A more appropriate analogy would be the use of water pistols instead of guns. Sure, you stand a chance of giving someone a cold, or squirting someone in the eye when playing with the water pistol, but it is orders of magnitudes safer than shooting a real gun. Either way, playing cops and robbers will be much more fun with either weapon than with using just your fingers with a pointy up thumb.
