*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Found the dim feature last night, not sure why it's default to bright....and need to can get a longer USB extension lead? That is way short! And terrible connection compare to the 360.

Just spent nearly 2 hours replacing the original DS4 sticks with the xbox one sticks. The job only took about 15 minutes in total but my digitizer wasn't sitting correctly and I was stumped as to why. After taking the controller apart 3 more times I finally figured out why, there was a little slot in the plastic where the ribbon cable for the digitizer was meant to pass through. When I first took it apart I pulled it out of this slot(I didn't need to). If you pass the ribbon cable around the side instead of threading it through this slot it's no longer long enough and the digitizer gets permanently depressed on one side.

Don't make the same mistake as me :p

I've heard of people losing the reset button, I never saw one fall out when I took my DS4 apart, did I lose it or has the design of the DS4 changed since it was first released? There is a little pot still attached to the battery compartment that goes above where the reset button is, should there be anything else?

Yh my xbone doesn't support DLNA either (I've heard it's in the latest preview build). Not a big deal for me that neither support it as my PC is connected to my TV as well.

Unless they also add support for the existing Bluetooth remotes, I'll still end up using my PS3 for media purposes. A controller is far too cumbersome to use when you quickly want to pause, rewind etc and with the less-than-stellar battery life it'll just be a huge inconvenience.

This is probably one of the reasons that it hasn't been a priority - most new TVs from recent years have support for it built in.
Pretty much my resolution too - TV manufacturers have been pushing TVs as the all-in-one media device for years now - the PS4 having it absent seems one of design considering its made by Sony...

ps3ud0

I have. I didn't like them at all. Get yourself some xbox one sticks and swap them over.

That's the thing, I like the 360 sticks and these have a similar looking one. I've ordered them 5 mins before your post and it's dispatching already !

Guess for the money I'll give them a try, if not then XB1 sticks.

I liked the 360 sticks as well but those grips don't compare to them. The ones with all the little dots on are really uncomfortable when gaming and my thumbs would get sore.

Use your TV remote? The PS4 supports HDMI CEC.

When will they make the PS4 app actually allow you to control the PS4? There is a page for the controller but it does nothing. Would be really useful If I could control the PS4 from my tablet when watching netflix or DVDs as that's when I leave the remote charging behind the TV.

Has anyone actually found any use for the app at all?

Yes, the app is great for searching and adding friends and also tapping out lengthy messages to one another. I use it a lot.
