and did you hear america wants to give moderates in syria 500 million in weapons etc to help fight vs isis? america are clearly wanting them to remove assad.

It's gonna make the middle east so much better! just like when they removed saddam

If I was assad I would be wanting to take out any american jets flying over my land and you can't blame them if the do america clearly want an excuse to strike more than isis targets in syria.

refusing to work with iran is stupid, they are finally coming around to the west almost ffs they have had troops in iraq fighting isis for months but nevermind let's not use isis as a unifying power having a common enemy and building relationships..

the west is no more democratic than anywhere else we just get a false sense of choice. same 3 parties doing the same crap whenever they get into power, probably as far out of touch with the public than any dictator has ever been.

We all know what would happen if mass protests brought the country to it's knees order would be restored at any cost same as it is anywhere else in the world, don't let democracy fool you.

I read they are supposed to have some 20,000-30,000+ fighters according to cia analysts

if you think isis are bad now it's only going to get worse as they realise they are losing and being wiped out.

The problem is he has absolutely no plan at all, at least none thought through. Obama's only intention at this point is revenge, america has had it's face rubbed in the dirt and the folks back home want blood.

After that.. some vague plan to install some type of democracy, which never works as the region is too sectarian divided, never mind the fact that these countries have had no tradition of democracy to fall back on.

And we keep on stirring the pot. If you look at revolutions from the French to the Iranian bloodshed ensues at first and then things settle down, mostly because people are sickened by it all and want to get on with their lives. But no, we have to stick our oar in and stir the pot because we get all moral outraged, bomb the place to oblivion, and then quit when the body bags start returning. Only to repeat the cycle all over again when the memories start to fade.

I love the fact that america is talking to Egypt now, hailing it as the "key to fighting IS" - that would be the Egypt thats run by a military dictatorship that overthrew a legitimately elected government, and throws journalists in jail for life just for speaking the truth, is it? How is that better than Assad? Oh right, hes backed by Russia. So we're fighting the East v. West via proxy, again. Nice.

days gone by we called those people so out of their minds they put others before themselves no matter how futile the odds heroes.
 
I hope the ***** doing these beheadings get caught instead of killed and live life suffering torture everyday for the rest of their lives.
 
We have, in our desire to subvert a culture using their own weaknesses for our desire in fuel and power. We have inadvertently created a self replicating ideology that wants to destroy us, every single action or inaction is simply fuel, though inaction is far less damaging in the long run.

I am afraid that our own weakness in seeing even a single life extinguished is some justification for more strife for little real gain.

There are a few logical solutions, we invade the entire region, we remove the entire region or do nothing and simply defend our own lot.

Unfortunately, with Russia and China waiting to usurp, i think doing nothing is as bad as having too many forces dealing with a region that is unlikely to be solved.

I highly doubt anyone would really accept the second option either, so left with no options, I don't know, this was likely the conclusion drawn when we started using drones wholesale.

since when did doctors, and reporters die in battle?

there were always humanitarians and they have always been killed brutally.

crucifixion, beheading, hanging, hung drawn quartered, blown from a gun.
 
i'd rather be shot in the head than go like these poor buggers right now.

anyway, the point is WHY would you go there full well knowing this is a high risk?

the fact it's happened in previous wars etc is moot...
 
This is why I don't like Islam, I'm not fan of crazy Christians either but they aren't going around pulling **** from the dark ages such as crucifying people....

Always something new with Islamic population, vice has a very good documentary on the Islamic state, go on youtube and search vice and Islamic state. They are all totally insane, and it's brainwashing at the highest level. They are getting to kids too and they are teaching them to preach hate.

As a child you just follow whatever you are told because you don't have a solid view of reality yet so being fed this crap means you basically grow up as a nutter.
 
Sorry but I think these beheadings are fake. Probably an elaborate scam by the US to try to justify another illegal war.

Remember the US faked the moon landings.
