*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

Picked up most if my light gear through pvp and planet bounties/missions. Levelling New Monarchy now. Just shy of rank 1 rep and 44 marks. At level 22 now yesterday I was stuck on 20. Did some farming on the moon doing the mission with the thrall and the knight but it gets boring very quickly so I went back to pvp. Starting to really like Control.

No legendaries yet all blue gear.
 
Still can't get light gear. Keep gettin stuff I've already got or worse than I've got so frustrating! Also ranking UP FWC gear and I'm about half way to level one such a grind!

Pretty sure I died more times than you during the weekly strike anyway lol. Now I know why I picked Titan.

Somehow I ended up with a Legendary engram even though I didn't see a message at the time. Only got a rare from it mind.

Happy to help out if you want to do it. Maxed my marks for the week but I enjoyed the challenge :p
 
I spent 5hrs in it today and got sod all! Just can't get past 25, kinda winding me up I'm so unlucky on this game.

I've maxed my marks but need to get rep to level 2 still.

I'll prob go back on tomorrow and grind some more rep ready to just buy the gear. I'll do the weekly then if your about?
 
Bit of low level advice please guys - what should I be spending my glimmer on? Seems pointless buying equipment since that gets upgraded every couple of missions anyway, so that just leaves things like vehicles, ships, emblems - but that I'm not entirely sure what the point of these things are? Are they just vanity things?

Oh, another one - you know that consumable you get that boots the glimmer collected from mobs. Where can I get another one from?

I literally bought nothing apart from an emblem while levelling to 20. By the time you finish story mode you should have a pretty decent setup from all the drops and rewards you get along the way. Eventually I hit the 25k Glimmer max so I bought loads of ammo packs just to use some up. The Legendary armour doesn't cost Glimmer either.

The only use I've found for Glimmer so far is buying the 50 ammo packs I needed for an Exotic bounty.
