*** Sony Xperia Z3 Compact ***

Got excited there - thought that was the Z3, then I realised which thread I'm in.

If your employer is a member of O2 Open you can get 30% off line rental. With that discount, you can get the Z3c, unlimited minutes, texts and 2GB 4G data for £26.60/month with O2 in store. The Z3 would be £32.60 on the same plan.

That's the best price I've come up with so far. It's a shame I have a few weeks to go on my contract - I can upgrade to Vodafone's crappy prices, or pay a hefty cancellation fee to leave early (I have a fairly expensive tariff with a big discount on it).
 
Wow abused the phone today with Bluetooth WiFi and many phone calls plus eBay etc

Battery 63 percent was unplugged at 6.30 am
 
Bwwaah, such teasing! Think Amazon are still sticking to next week to ship and I'm away til Wednesday. Give all these new phones a good bash over the weekend for me.
 
I think Amazon probably just got a release date of the 29th from Sony, so even if they have them they are probably holding them till then. Whereas places like Clove and Handtec are more willing to just ship as they get them.
 
Had confirmation of shipping from Handtec on 24th, postie came and went but no package arrived... Charger ready, dock ready, sim cutter ready, memory card all unpacked, I even tried if my iPhone 4S bends in fingers and bah - such a let down before weekend...

I was looking at the o2 open deals too, though with more data mine would be about £30, still really good with a free phone though.

Only thing to double check is that they will actually give the discount as its a new handset. The other half wants an iPhone 6 (sigh) but they won't apply the 30% to it for a few months yet

small mark on the corner but actually ok. first time ever it has happened in 6 years also I always have a rubber case on which would sort this typically the phone was released before the case lol

it will live I did 100% fear the worst when I picked it up though

Slightly off topic but is that actually a good deal? My other half is still using my old HTC Sensation. Would the E3 be a step up for her? I like the sound of the Z3C a lot so this could be win-win.

No, though it's not a bad deal either. The deal is actually £450. The Z3c is £350 at Handtec and Clove. The E3 is available for £100 elsewhere (I can't remember where, but the answer is in the last couple of pages of this thread).

TBH, you'd be better buying a Z3c for yourself and a 2013 Moto G for her. It'll work out marginally cheaper and she'll have a marginally better handset.
