Corsair RGB release date.

Sorry for the trouble guys. We are currently sorting this issue out internally. This issue has just made it on our top priority list, so we are putting a good amount of our resources to get this issue addressed ASAP. I'll keep you guys posted as I get more updates.

The update is much appreciated, The main problem is just that the keyboards firmware thinks it's got a US layout with no option for UK hence some lights get turned off, I think a simple UK layout version should do the trick shouldn't it ?

Updates are the best thing with an issue like this :) I wouldn't mind having separate uk/us/other firmware versions if it meant my KB worked right now! I'm surprised they don't have separate ones anyway... I just paid £160 for a keyboard and I kind of expected to be able to use all the features on day 1. But i'm quietly confident as I've never had an issue with any other Corsair hardware.

I've updated my firmware and no lights are turned off, does it only effect a certain number of models? Does think it's a US keyboard though (according to the settings)

Well if all your lights are working then you're one of the lucky ones, There's a metric butt ton of people who's "<>/#" buttons lights are turned off due to the firmware.

Nope, not lucky :(
The lights are working, albeit not as bright as the others (when set to 100%, they look like 33%) those keys *work* however the profile i've setup flashes the keyboard white from whichever key i hit and hitting those keys no flash!! :D

Oh well, half and half. rarely use those keys.

This is interesting. Do you mind providing the part # and lot # of that unit?

btw, when you flashed the FW, do you have both USB connector plugged in?

Well the new firmware should fix all this hopefully, I think Corsair need to hire a proper software engineer to sort these bugs out :p
 
Greybeard, can we expect the K70 RGB with the sails logo to be available in the UK? Corsairs statement only mentioned US customers and from selected retailers.

Been waiting on this keyboard for a long time, will wait a bit longer if sails logo is coming back.

Thanks, Tonester. I was going to have our validation team test and see if it makes a difference per lot/batch. But P/N should be fine, since most K70s EU/UK layout were made all at the same time.

Greybeard any chance you could let people know about the firmware fault through some type of social media, I imagine a lot of people are getting ready to take their keyboards back because of this little fault and don't know it will be fixed through a simple update, Could just announce a fix will be available soon etc.. :)
 
Just to add to this - got my K70 RGB (red switches) yesterday and after reading about this issue noticed that the \ key isn't lit up. That does seem to be the only key that isn't liit though, the others that people have mentioned are fine.

P/N: CH-9000068-UK

As an aside, when I unpacked the keyboard, the mute button had fallen off and was loose in the cellophane packaging the keyboard was wrapped in. It seems to be OK (and is lit) after fitting it and doesn't come loose when shaking the keyboard :) Maybe something for others to watch out for as well.

Assuming you haven't updated your firmware then it sounds like an LED failed to me as surely they should be all lit up.
 
Just went to use the "0" on the numpad and it doesn't work, It's lit up but no ones at home, I can remap the key to do everyth8ing else but for "0" it just doesn't work.

Seriously Corsair sort yourselves out it's getting beyond "Oops we missed it at Q&A", I have never seen a company that releases so many broken products on to the market before.

Just got mine and it's a beast of a keyboard but the software is a joke! I had to update the firmware just to get the profile tab to show. Have tried to change the colours but it does not set the correct colours and things just start flashing, I just want white with no flashing:rolleyes:
