**** Sony Xperia Z3 ****

Anyone know where i could get a Z3 on voda unlocked now or will i have to wait a while?

Can't seem to find much info on its unlocking.

Thanks :)

Just spoke with Vodafone and they will be able to provide the unlock code. They said it takes between 3 and 10 days which seems a long time.

so hard to not buy this haha :) I NEED to keep my n5 till December, and before that I need to sell my oppo find 5! too many phones!

I've switched my phone to 3G (DC-HSPA) for a bit because while 4G is active in Portsmouth it's not as strong a signal as 3G is. The difference is a pretty big factor on battery life too as 3G is -71dBm whereas 4G is -91 to -107  - The radio is working hard to maintain good 4G speeds at around 30Mbit in ideal conditions.

Considering 3 have DC-HSPA and I can pull down around 27Mbit I will only switch to 4G if I'm uploading a large file and wait until 3's complete nationwide 4G rollout is complete and signal strength is in the -80 range down here.

Nope as your radio will be connected to the 3G band :)

It's a very quick switch though, I just tap the 4G icon in the notification toggles.

Llama does it as well, you can have a profile for individual cell towers if you want :p

I switched from Tasker to Llama a while back, I much prefer it for what I need it for - plus it's free.

Not until RootCloak Plus works with Barclays app :p

Llama looks interesting, will check it out.

Also I just had pizza for lunch, usually I'd be careful about getting my phone mucky with food but this time round I just washed the whole phone :D

What a time we live it :D

As long as all the flaps are sealed you can just submerge it in water no problem? I'm still scared to do it :( What about the headphone jack?

Headphone socket is water/dust sealed so no problems about stuff getting into the phone. Depending on the humidity like if you used the phone in a hot shower then went outside to take photos then you might find some condensation mists up the inside of the camera outer lens due to how quickly the camera sensor module heats up when in use. A bit like how on a cold morning the inside of your double glazed window will mist up if your heating in the room is on.

But yes, you can swim with it if you wanted as long as the flaps are closed. It's IP68 rated.

My guess it is to stop people using stolen credit cards as phones are easy to shift on. They only allow to ship to card holders address too.

Damn 9 days? Never said that when I ordered it, was going to chase them up tomorrow for a date as well.

I imagine you'll get it Friday if it's in stock. :)

I just called them and apparently the white one is coming back in stock on Monday so I changed my order to that. With that said, on the website it says you can order it for next day delivery so you never know we may get lucky and have them delivered tomorrow, not holding my breath though.

This phone looks lovely! Thinking about a switch from my N5.

Can't really afford the £500 upfront fee so have been looking at Three at £49 and 2yrs at £28pm

Can that be bettered anywhere else?
