Just got back, had a look at Red Death and it seems a bit meh to be honest, think I'll wait until I get the Bad Juju bounty. If it did some sort of elemental damage then I might be tempted. My legendary scout rifle does Solar damage so I'll probably stick with that for now.

I think its the sheild system.

Seems very difficult to get the shield down to zero and the health down to zero in one shot.

The fusion rifle fires technically 4 bullets of plasma which has the effect of taking the shield down, then taking the health down (at least thats my theory, its all very unclear)

A sniper round can and should kill in one head shot, there is no 'shield gate' in this game from what I can tell so there's no reason why you can't kill someone with a single hit. I'm pretty sure fusion rifles hit more than that as well, the one I normally use has a mag of 56 with 8 rounds so I assume it hits 7 times.

I'm curious as to why this target didn't die if it did take a shot to the head, possibly radiance was active or another damage reduction/shield buff, but even if it was they must have survived with a sliver of health.
 
what level or defence stat should you need to do the queen mission? on my titan I can do all apart from black garden pretty easy. My warlock can't even do the one on earth, I die so fast but have rare armour and exotic gauntlets.
titan is 27, warlock is 23 so should manage the earth one.

edit: may also be the weapons my warlock has, didn't realise they were quite as bad as they are compared to what ive been using on my titan. i'll swap the weapons over and see if I can manage to do it.

How do you get an exotic bounty? Keep hearing people talk about them but never seen one. Do they just randomly appear in the list of bounties available along side the vanguard/crucible/queen bounties? Or are they somewhere else or just get given to you in postmaster?

I'm level 25 and never seen one
 
Every time you hand in a bounty, you have a chance of being given an exotic bounty. I think it works out like 5% chance? (5% was what I was told anyway, whether true or not, it's low regardless :p)
 
Also is anyone about tomorrow daytime on ps4 that wouldn't mind dragging my weak ass through level 28 weekly heroic? The other half is out all day and i desperately want to get some strange coin to buy my very first exotic.

Edit: I'm only level 25 and I'm not very good (will die a lot)!
 
Does anyone have any tips for obtaining an interesting ship? I know you can get one by farming the Queen's Order missions - any other ways? Never seen one drop other than in that mission.

If you are lvl 25 trying to do lvl 28 content you will a) deal massively reduced dmg to enemy mobs and b) die in 1 hit. There's no point. It's not very fair to rely on other people to carry you. The mobs get increased health for every player in the game, so whoever else is with you will have to do all the dirty work whilst you are essentially just a revive bot. Just stick to the lower level version for now, even if it means less coins.

Tbh, there aren't really ANY interesting ships in the game XD
Just pick one with a colour scheme you like.
I got a bunch of random ones from random stuff, but they are all equally crappy, including one of the ships that drops from the raid O.o I mean it's frickin plain grey. Who wants a grey ship?!

Helmet is not as good as my Queen's helmet (-2 light), and the red death seems well meh!

I can get the cryptograph helmet with 23 motes of light but I doubt it's gunna better my current helmet!

darn it - just when I wasted loads upgrading my queens helmet.
hmmmmm to buy or not to buy......

Is it worth getting? I don't have any exotic weapons or armour at all, just legendary

Red Death is an extremely strong PvP pulse rifle.

Your Queen's helmet has more light because you upgraded it more. All legendary armor has same amount of light when fully upgraded, except armor earnt from the raid.

Helmet engram probably not worth the gamble unless you have no other exotic armor.
 
So shall I get the exotic helmet or just wait another week? - I'm a level 27 hunter, with half way upgraded all purple weapons and armour...
 
Been waiting for a exotic pulse rifle. I play a lot of pvp, Red Death is amazing pvp so far. It's fairly easy staying on target and puts them down fast. Very happy with it so far :)
 
Got to lvl 20, yet to feel the "ZOMG AMAZEBALLS" though! I'm feeling a little flat tbh.

Can't seem to lvl-up anymore!
Didn't get any special weapons
Didn't get any special amour.
Nothing any different to when I was at lvl 18 or 19


Feeling somewhat deflated now.
