Possible dumb idea incoming, but here goes;

Once CUE has settled down and users have had time to get to grips with it, it would be great to build a list of profiles / descriptions created by the OCUK community so we know they are safe for download (even if files are hosted somewhere else). What say you?

I'd prefer not to dl a profile only to have the shape of a gentleman's sausage flash up on my keyboard...

Perhaps not such a terrible idea. Don't see any reason not to use Corsair's forum to host them though and maybe just link to them from a thread here.

K95 brown switches arrived at work today. Less than 16 hours after ordering! Can't wait to go home and fiddle with patterns.

I like the idea of sharing patterns on here, which we know are quality.

When you do the firmware update don't be surprised if the CUE software reports a malfunction on the keyboard after its done its thing. A reboot sorted it for me. Also don't be surprised if your \ and # keys are not lit up, a known problem which corsair are working on. Other than that just enjoy the hardware and messing around making your own profiles. The CUE looks a bit confusing at first but there are a couple of videos on corsairs forum which will help you get to grips with it a bit more. Link here

Any information regarding the K70 RGB MX Blue Cherry release?

I've just seen the OCUK website stating a 15.10.14 date. Scan is still reporting 9.10.14. Fingers crossed anyway.

Hi All,
Quick update regarding those RBG KBs that were flashed incorrectly. If you have updated your KB's FW and was flashed to the wrong model/layout during CUE installation, please submit a ticket at Corsair.force.com. You will then be in contact with one of our Tech Specialist where they will provide you the fix for that particular issue.

Again, we'd like to apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you guys. We'll continue to work hard and make sure that we address these minor set-backs ASAP. Thank you for your patience.

Thanks for the updates. I have submitted a ticket. Currently sitting with a keyboard with no lights as the software keeps crashing, and freezing the lighting.

But don't worry, Corsair are focused on making sure the right logo is on the keyboards...... :D Sure they'll get round to the software eventually.

Considering people in this thread are already owners of the keyboard, I highly doubt that news pleases some. I'm pretty miffed I could've got a Brown keys K70 with the old logo if I had waited a bit longer. I think core functionality of the product's main selling point is pretty important.

My post was largely tongue in cheek as I'm a K70 RGB owner so getting the firmware and software right is more important to me than the logo.

And so it should be. To you and to Corsair.

In my opinion, a firmware update should always make things better for the end user. Most software for consumers should be easy to use, no matter how complex the hardware.

In this situation though I highly doubt resources would have been moved from software to hardware as I doubt those teams are interchangeable. One would not affect the other.
