Gutted. I forgot to pay Xur a visit. Too busy playing FH2. :|

I'm on nights at the moment, so will probably be online tomorrow afternoon (kids in school and I get the XO to myself). If some of you start getting friend invites (XO) from Lead Affinity - it's me. :)
 
What are the Vanguard Tiger strikes like? I've had a few attempts at the Weekly Heroic which is lvl 22 and failed miserably (apart from cheesing this week's). The Tiger strikes are lvl 24 non-heroic correct? Does that make them easier than the weekly?

They aren't that bad once you know the fight areas quite well, so you can run for cover and know hiding spots and stuff. Some are pretty tough, the one on Mars in particular!
 
Just done the weekly nightfall twice - pretty easy camping under that balcony.
First time round was with Hutchy and Tallinos(?) - I died as soon as the archon priest appeared and sat there for 10 minutes watching them snipe him lol. As a great prize I won the Monte Carlo Exotic Air Rifle! http://destiny.wikia.com/wiki/Monte_Carlo

Well chuffed - finally a decent exotic (other one is ice breaker and a hand cannon). Up to Level 28 now. I got some raid armour friday night and dropped back to 27 when equipped but it soon shot back to Level 28 today! :)

Ta guys - just need me some ascendent shards now - Level 29 here I cometh
 
Seem to be stuck at 25 now myself, ground out rank two on future war to then discover it wants pvp marks for gear bah! Could use a hand doing things like heroic weekly I think if people are up for it (25 hunter) other than grinding out the marks to buy rep gear I don't see other options as am too low for nightfall or raid :/
 
It's galling watching people roll exotics as mission rewards.

I've had to buy or earn all mine through bounties.

Although to be fair, now I have the Ice breaker, Souros and Invective, I can't thing of any other exotics I actually want.
 
Well that's the last of the exotic weapon bounties completed. Picked up the Invective bounty on Saturday.

Such an inconsistent performance getting the 25 KDA spread. Took me 3 games, first I had a shocking 2/25 performance. Second, marginally better, going to 7/25. Third game I finished it off with my final kill after we got victory :D

...then I put the weapon immediately into the vault to give my lvl25 Titan. Hell if I'm taking off my levelling-up Ice Breaker on my Hunter for that thing.

Can't quite seem to get my Titan to 26 and I don't fancy doing the Weekly Heroic solo at 25.

You'll be surprised how much easier it is solo.

Just ensure you have Void Machine Gun for Heavy and a Void ranged weapon (Sniper is recommended) and you're good to go.

Just take cover and not rush, the Vex bit is easiest on the platform where you first see Vex Snipers. The 2nd wave will spawn 3 Vex snipers behind you, just deal with them with machinegun and primary. Everything else, take pot shots from that platform, cover and repeat.

If they rush up headless, machine gun them.

Make your way to the final boss, snipe and repeat anything along the way.

Final boss area: clear area, hid under platform behind the ramp and snipe away when the Archon is out.

Carry spare ammo round, especially green - unless you've got Ice Breaker.

My bro of level 24 did exactly that and survived a level 26 solo for the strange coin.

I did mine at level 27 for the 9 strange coin. With Ice Breaker, the above step is even easier on the Weekly Nightfall thanks to the Solar burn!
 
Yeah I gave my 26 Warlock Atheons Epilogue and just ran around the area like a nutjob (hiding under the platform seemed a bit... tedious for 26 heroic). Got caught out a couple times and died for it but it was far more entertaining. It dawned on me on the last attempt why the hell wasn't I using Voidwalker... then proceeded to get the boss low with him stuck behind the canyon near the entrance and dump a Vortex Grenade, Super w/ Vortex and an entire clip of Atheons into his head and his health plummeted ><

I might just pick up a bunch of ammo packs and go do it the hiding way with my Titan.

On the topic of the Archon Priest. Now people are aware of that hiding spot they really need to man the **** up... I was doing a lvl24 Strike Playlist (for Invective's 5 strikes without dying section). Got partied with 2 lvl27s. 1 of them hid under the platform the entire fight, the other hid up where the start is and finally grew a pair halfway through. It was pathetic watching him hide under that platform against standard enemies 3 levels below him...

Can't say I noticed it, and that strike kept coming up on Tiger Playlist for me.

Only 1 occasion did I see someone using the rock cliff by the entrance, otherwise, most I've played with run around and generally own the place. Especially now everyone's got Ice Breaker, headshot staggering the boss with area effect grenades around him.
 
I wonder what this week's nightfall will be? I'm hoping it's the Moon ogre one, for two reasons; (1) I seem to have played that the most so know it inside out and (2) if it is really hard, there's another glitch in this one too which I'll be using without any shame :D

I'm going to use both of my characters this week to double up on coins, I'm so grateful I managed to afford Ice Breaker, I don't ever want to be in a position where I miss out on such a game changing item. I missed out on Suros Regime last time, which I'm still a little gutted about.

Guess I just got unlucky.

Phogoth was the second one and they haven't been round all of them yet so its unlikely. The Psion Flayers are the only ones not to have been up for Weekly/Nightfall yet I think so its most likely to be that one. If it is, guaranteed Arc Burn.

As it has more or less been in order, it's either going to be Dust Palace on PS and Earth on Xbox... or both Earth. Or it's random from now on to surprise everyone :p
 
I have a feeling it'll be Earth, with Arc Burn on Nightly just to make things hard, like Snipers and "sperm shooters" (don't know what the weapon's called, comes out in drips and blobs, and it homes-ish).

e: just Googled it, it's Shock Rifle.
