Afternoon Tea - Knightsbridge area.

Not just the middle east, there is a wide variety of cultures in central London. I think less than 10% of people I overheard speaking were using English.

London was fun, but hell I wouldn't want to live there/work there. Far too busy for me. Hyde Park was nice though.

Knightsbridge in general attracts a lot of arabs from the UAE, Kuwait etc. Some of them when they visit London only stay in the Knightsbridge area. My wife works for a luxury brand and deals with some wealthy arabs that don't even know anywhere outside of Knightsbridge.

They also like to ship over their super cars and street race round Knightsbridge, before getting a swift telling off, then retreet and have some afternoon tea

Well, thanks for the responses and entertainment!

I know it's probably got a bit of a 'poncey' image, but I fancy the experience and I'm looking to indulge for the weekend. Ponce and all. ;)

Will look into booking Harrods I think (if it's something you can book?), mainly for convenience of walking around the store before or after, and getting a dose of over the top Christmas spirit.

A follow up to this. Harrods was fully booked throughout the whole of December.

Settled with the Mandarin Oriental, partly for how amazing the building looks, but also because The Rosebery has some good reviews.

Roll on Christmas!
