Just got offered my first exotic bounty, rewards to choose between bad juju, thorn, invective. Any opinions? :| Been googling it and bad juju getting a lot of hate, but at least its a primary weapon which is surely a good thing for someone like me trying to start on nightfalls/raids?
 
This game really rustles my jimmies sometimes. All I need are 3 strange coins before sunday to buy a helmet, and the game has just stopped giving them. Nothing I do results in coins. I'm too low level to do the weekly strike at level 28, and I've already done it at 26. Nothing else is giving coins. And while I'm hunting for coins, my friend who doesn't need them has been getting loads from chests, public events, you-name-it.

What level are you? If you're around 25-26 you could try to tag along with 2 level 29 players and let them do the majority of the work. Just stay safe and do what damage you can.

I'm 27, and the only friends I regularly play with are also 27. We've tried the level 28 weekly strike but can't even get past the bit at the start with multiple waves of fallen.

You should try going down the tunnel near where the hive spawn from. The enemies wont pursue you down there so you only have to play carefully to whittle the waves down

I did it solo earlier this evening, if you want I'll help you out with it if you haven't ditched it already? I'm assuming you are talking about the Xyor the Unwed bit?

Just got to L21. Is it me or do all the "strategies" involve hiding somewhere? That more glitching than good tactics :p

I've been doing pvp and getting the hang of it. Actually getting a positive k/d ratio now and capturing many flags. But the lot random generator is frustrating. People on much higher rating(not that it matters)sitting at the bottom getting all the goodies.

I'm not saying it can't be done properly, as it can but as of now that area is by far the easiest to do it from. The conventional method of sticking to the back of the room behind the 2 containers still works.

As for you getting less loot, you're more likely to notice when you don't get any and someone else does as it feels like some kind of injustice. I doubt you can get the best loot available at lv21 either, expect to still get lv18 blues the majority of the time. If you're looking for guaranteed loot, maybe try the strike playlists instead as their loot as been buffed recently

The way things scale with more people in this game I'm not surprised one lv28 found it easier than 3 lv27s. With 3 people the HP of enemies has doubled, their damage is scaled up slightly and you also need to take the level penalty into account.

Yeah, it was fun until that last wave. taking the Unchained chap down to near-death was pretty simple but when all those wizards rocked up at the end it was just stupid. So much so that it made the Nightfalls I've done so far feel easy in comparision!

Hutch, happy to give it another go today if you're on later.

Seems like a quick way to get legendary gear with pvp, I think I have about 20 odd marks. Is that the idea, just to get all legendary?

I don't get the vanguard L2 thing though, how do I get that?
 
To get levels in vanguard you need to get vanguard reputation. Thats earned by doing strikes, patrol missions, public events and bounties.

You don't have to worry about the ogre once he's free by the way, you just kill all the rest of the mobs until the wizard spawns
