Nor do I to be honest... I was online all night last night and no issues at all playing drive club which is one of the worst reported offenders on psn as late...

in fact not to point it out, live had issues with friends list etc... only issue I can say is that Sony aren't very good with on screen messaging regarding issues with psn, instead you get a generic down for maintenance whereas live does say where the issue is, which is more informative..
 
Only issue i remember is the major attack it had a few weeks back and the problem with DC, but that isn't a PSN issue. Maintenance is maybe more frequent but as most to improve service. Live has a few problems eg FH2 friends list not working, but are few and far between, some on here will try to tell you its 100% problem free though.
What exclusives are you most interested in on the XB1? to me its got nothing i want to play and looks very barren from the Halo collection till ens of 2015.

I'm trying to be as balanced a possible, however from your post it's surely got to be Xbox. At the very least you're saying you don't mind missing out on all the exclusives you want because of some perceived benefit you've read about on PS4 cross platform games. Madness! :confused:

It'd be more understandable if you quoted exclusives on PS4 you were interested in.

Agreed, x1 exclusives look very thin from end of this year.. ps4 will see it's big hitters next year so it'll be interesting...

I want Forza 5 + Forza Horizon 2 as the only exclusives I can think of. Everything else I'd want (Fifa, COD etc) is cross-platform.

It has been really poor for me every single glazed at from around 7pm. The friends list won't load, game tiles wouldn't load and trophies would take an age to load BUT last night it actually ran pretty smooth. First time in long time.

I can understand this, horizon 2 and maybe sunset overdrive but just can't justify the cost of the machine for a few games,you've got a tough choice mate.

Looking at sales figures Fifa sold considerably more on ps4 then x1 but cod will be telling as that is generally considered a major title for Xbox. Pre orders show currently cod is going to do well on Xbox platform's...

Well, my argument is there is a LONG road ahead for both console's life cycle so plenty of exclusives round the corner yet.

I know it is easy to say it is a lot of money to play a couple of games, but realistically, you are spending £300 for the next decade pretty much. You will buy a LOT of things costing a lot more money, replaced far more frequently than £300.

I replace my car at thousands when you think of it every three years, so it's a good point.
 
I was tempted by an Xbone due to the recent Tesco deals, but then I realised I would literally only be getting it for Forza Horizon 2, as all the other games will most likely run at a higher res on PS4, or will be on PC for half the price. Oh and Sunset Overdrive doesn't really appeal to me, looks like an (even more) arcadey Infamous.

As for PSN issues, I've only really noticed it when the friends list doesn't load. Messaging has always been pretty poor. Even with the recent maintenance, I've signed in before it has begun and therefore didn't notice any difference.

I was providing a reasoned response to his post based upon what he said he wanted. I then asked him to tell us if there are any PS4 exclusives he wants. :roll eyes:

As for being suggested not to post, I have immediately been less provocative and understanding but it seems the children here still cannot control themselves. Must be school holiday time!

Not sure where the assertion of Xbox being thin of the ground in terms of exclusives in 2015 came from.... Halo 5 and the new Gears are pretty big sellers alone. Oh and Quantum Break.

I think I'm actually going to go with the X1. I can always add the PS4 later, and I'm not really going to be caught by "resolution-gate" as I'm playing through a crappy 720p TV from Asda lol.

Well from launch the PS4 has been pitched purely as a games console - if people really want all these media features, why not just get a raspberry pi or similar and use that?

I guess if they do then it is one less box under the TV, and it was the norm on the PS3, which they took away.
