Damn materials!

Didn't get to play much yesterday, so missed out on trying to grind materials, as that's my limiting factor to getting to level 30 after getting a decent Warlock helmet from Xur's engram.

Will try and hit 30 for another run at Hard mode later this week.

its great for sniping the high rank ultra hive knights and wizards with their arc shields.

One good hit with this to knock the shield clean off and then quickly switch to another weapon to follow up with lots of quick shots.
It will really come into its own once you get the clip upgrade and the ability to go invisible. As with most exotics, you need to persevere and unlock all of its abilities.

P&T + Dr Nope = lots of dead enemies as long as I am in "shredding" range.

I know a lot of people don't like it but I am loving Dr Nope. Fully upgraded it isn't bad and can make a perfect companion to a ranged scout rifle / sniper.

The only downside is the fact you have to choose between - Range / Stability or impact. I have a fully upgraded scout rifled thus my choice is impact. :)

It was quite a good weekend playing Destiny to be fair. Got alll of the missions done on my main characters ready for the Tuesday reset. Thanks to Mike for helping me through the Weekly heroic on my secondary. We did it eventually! I am just annoyed at myself for dying right when the boss has a slither of health left, meaning we had to do it all again with less ammo :o. It is quite nice knowing that my solar grenades can strip the shields on that Minotaur.

I already have 14 strange coins towards Xur next week. :D

Anyone up for the Nightfall tommorow give me a shout.

Started levelling up a third character as well. Chose an Awoken Warlock simply so I can share armour from my primary Warlock. Also got lucky on a VG rank up (finally) so she will have her own legendary chest armour instead of having to share :D.

Now I just need to get her from level 13 to level 20.....

I doubt I'll be picking up the DLC. Other guys I play it with don't seem interested in paying that price for the level of content and they already barely play it now.

Did the daily Saturday morning and haven't been back on. Can't fault the Bad Juju for its ability to clean up trash mobs. Shredded every single Hive enemy before the Wizard 'boss' in an almost continual stream of bullets.

Last few days I've gone back to playing Path of Exile. For a free to play I've gotten more from that game and will probably continue to do so than Destiny.

Just did the daily heroic and got absolutely nothing from it?

Does it not reset daily as the name would suggest?

Did you log in after the reset?
I had that before and got nothing because I logged in an hour before the reset.

Also, make sure you choose it from the left hand side icon.

Do you need to be a certain level to get these 'Daily Heroic' missions? I'm level 15 but haven't seen them anywhere?

Quite a lot of PvP this weekend which isnt something I've really done since BETA and found it enjoyable in comparison to other games think my favourite has been Killzone, used to enjoy CoD but once to many silly perks got involved I could not stand it. Fun using universal remote, shadow price and found verdict. All in the aid of bad juju which is as everyone said as soon as I'd picked that exotic bounty it is poor and doesnt feel exotic at all apart from the look of it. Has anyone upgraded it to the instant reload/dmg perk and is it much more worthy of 'exotic' once that is unlocked... also universal remote has anyone unlocked the increased range whilst looking down sights perk?

I have.

It's a good gun for anything up till you're doing any fights with shield or enemies of the same or higher level than you. You've essentially got 5 shots to kill a target to get instant reload for continuous shooting.

You will soon realise 5 shots isn't enough for certain fights - usually Nightfall or high end Weekly Heroics. When I'm going farming and just want a cool gun, Bad Juju is my go to gun. Hardly ever reload during patrols.

Cheers Mr J I've been using it in that there scenario i.e. Patrols

Otherwise it is shadow price & found verdict & the swarm PvE

& either shadow price or universal remote depending on map etc in PvP.

Really? £20 is worthwhile for:

  • 2 level raise to the cap
  • 2-3 storyless missions of hold off 3 waves while the robot doesn't do something
  • one strike and a raid
  • and some more weapons for us to beta test before they get nerfed.

It seems even less worth it when you realise the americans pay $19.99 and we pay £19.99. We pay a third more for the same thing for no apparent reason other than it was easier to change the symbol than work out an exchange rate.

I take it you don't play the game anymore?

depends what point of view you are coming from.

If you are thinking, will 1 x new raid, 1 x new strike, 3 x story missions given me enough extra game play to make the £15 worth while. Then probably yes it will.

If you're going from, will this fix the issue with the current content, then no it won't. Bungie themselves have taken on board that the story telling in destiny needs to be better, and they've said they will change the missions in this DLC to a new better method the fans should enjoy more.

So what about all the original missions ?

So the answer of whether or not its worth the money, depends on what you want it to do.
