The DLC content list says it will all be released on the 9th - http://www.bungie.net/en/event/darkbelow, unless I'm missing something.
I've read a few old articles saying "unlocked over time" and others saying it's all planned to unlock on day one (9th). Can't see anything official on the bungie website. I guess if it isn't unlocked right away it will be one week after, can't see it being longer than that. Maybe to allow everyone to download the updates?
I do hope it is the 9th!

There is absolutely no reason for the new raid to not be launched on the 9th. Delaying access to the VoG made sense: people needed to get to 26 and it allowed Bungie to ensure server stability(!) in readiness for some of those longer checkpoints.
Delaying the roll out this time around serves only to irritate the community and I honestly can't see Bungie being so naive. I am confident we will be raiding come a week on Tuesday.

anybody about now that needs to do the nightfall ??? done it on my hunter and titan but my 26 warlock fancies his chances just needs a hand loaded with maxed void and burn weapons

Looks like it will be available on the 9th but maybe we will have to unlock by doing some things for Eris first, which makes sense.

K, solo'd the 200 kills I needed so now have Pocket Infinity. Not heard back from Willems so do you want to try two manning it? I can be on for around 8pm?

That would suck. How has nobody pointed out that organising the raid with your friends or normal raid group will require the entire group to have finished the other missions first. You want to do the raid so you smash through the story in a couple pf hours and then... oh no, 2 of the group are at work today and havent done it, one is online but messing about doing the nightfall and the others havenet been able to download the dlc yet due to connection issues.
I really hope the dlc goes smoothly, but i really dont have much faith that it will.
Xyur the unwed isnt really that hard. Me and martin did it with the two of us in one afternoon for the entire bounty. 500 void kills included.
Ran past all the mobs to the point were you get the 3 waves, then positioned myself on the top left platform and used a void fusion to take down the trash. Used my stun grenades on the bigger mobs and then pounded them, then retreat to door and chip away. And then basically repeat. It took me quite a few runs to get the 200 kills, probably averaged around 25 kills.
I've seen Xyor solo'd, but don't fancy trying it.
I've not looked for a spot on the Moon, but when I did this bounty, it was during the Archon Priest Nightfall on Venus.
Instead of actually going in the direction to do the Nightfall, I went right to the Academy. There's a mob of Fallen and Vex here that are level 28 but it's not a restricted respawn area. All kills here count, and if you die you'll respawn just outside. You can also continue on through to another area where there's another group of level 28's. Once you clear that area, go back to the Academy and the mobs will have respawned. Rinse and repeat.
Anyway, you've got it now, but I'm guessing there's areas like this on all the Nightfalls.
500 void points, only took a few matches with voidwalker, and the comedian. Xyor I think I was level 28 and solo'd it first time (not bragging, if i can manage it....cant be that hard) Trickiest part is the three wizards in the dinklebot room. Once you to phogoth just keep pulling the adds back in to the entrance room until Xyor appears, I don't even think you need to kill em until Xyor. Solar launcher of any description does the job nicely. Just remember to take out the shrieker or go back into corridor prior until it despawns.

I've done bad juju and thorn, just got the pocket infinity one on my main and got option on a new one on my alt. Not sure I can be bothered mind, until the exotics get rebalanced a bit.

I think it will be fine! I hope so anyway. As long as we aren't plagued with connection drops.
I've since read this evening that the new raid will be playable on the 9th, not sure about doing any quests beforehand but if there are I doubt they'll be long.

New patch tomorrow as well, hope it's those exotic weapon changes and things!
Still can't believe we managed to smash that out in one afternoon, if we didn't have iron banner I recokon it would have taken a bit longer and a lot more frustration too!

I read this on the Bungie forums as well, but I'm sceptical. It just doesn't make sense to have the hard difficulty a level above the maximum attainable level. It also goes against the levels pattern that was set by the VoG where normal was 4 levels below the maximum and hard was the same as the maximum.
There's no real reason for them not to change it up, I'd just be very surprised if they did. If they did set it at 33, I can only assume it's to make it harder and so they believe it'll increase longevity.
Anyway, apparently it's a Bungie level designer that's been quoted as saying it's 30/33, so you never know..
Edit: I've seen his post on Twitter saying normal will be level 30, but nothing on the hard level.
