I nice little trade run I have been doing this evening.

It's a 3 way 20ly run, netting around 2200cr per ton.

Ah I see. Same as any other upgrade really, it depends. A grade a1 may well be worse than a c2 but could still be more expensive simply as it performs better for the type of slot it fits. Higher class slots can hold better modules, it seems as though most tend to overlap slightly in terms of performance, where an a/b1 is better than an e/f2 for example, but generally I'd say if you don't want to use that slot for anything else then use the biggest slot possible. Price doesn't seem to be proportional to performance across classes.
 
I started playing the training last night and was enjoying it. No clue what each of the x55 buttons do but I know how to fire! I bought voice attack and the ED voice pack so need to figure out how to do that. My friend is going to give me a million credits tonight so I can buy something, not exactly sure what. He is flying around in some 20 mil faction ship with 20 mils worth of fittings or something -.- Glad he is on my side lol.
 
You can drop cargo for a friend who pick up and sell on the black market, the goods are marked stolen though so you have to be careful. I usually find the smaller (not rotating) stations have fewer or no patrol craft and if they have a black market it's a nice spot to do it. Just do it quite a distance away from the station so you don't get a fine for dropping it!
 
Was hanging around a nav beacon last night, found a big ship with a clean rating, warrant scanned him and he came up with a 60,000 bounty. "I'm having that" thunk I... Had him down to one bar of shields left, with virtually no hits on me when he does a flight-assist-off turn and one-shot-kills me with a weapon firing a "ball" of something. One shot- straight through nearly-full shields and a 100% Cobra hull..... What the hell was that and where can I get one?
 
What are the main tips for a complete space noob for earning money to buy a better ship/guns and what solar systems area would be better or are they all pretty much the same for missions.

Plasma accelerator I expect. Very slow fire rate, generaly not good for fast moving targets.

Missions.

Check the Bulletin board at any station and pick up some delivery missions, easy money, but boring. Just do these until you can get into a ship with more cargo space, then trade your way to something better :)

Then you can choose your path properly.

Not sure if I am doing something wrong, but I have done a couple of bulletin board missions, completed them in the required time but when I click on "Give Cargo", it is in red and won't complete, even though I have the correct cargo?

Any help men?

That's a bit odd- what exactly is the mission? It's not one where the goods have to be stolen is it?

"Can you be the hero Massimino Terminal needs"

I got the 2 transmission boxes, it shows as stolen in my hold but not sure how else it would show.

The other mission was to pick up a black box and deliver it to Massimino terminal but again, it shows as stolen but all I did was scoop it up and no idea how else to get it?

Am I doing something wrong?

Hmmm, sounds like you're doing everything right- maybe raise a ticket with FD?
