Unblocked the drains :eeewwww:
The toilet has been getting slower to empty over the past few weeks, so finally got round to lifting the two manholes on the drive this morning.
About two foot of standing water in each. I've had my lunch so I'll spare the detail, I'll just say I doubled-up on the rubber gloves! Clean as a whistle now though.

Not a problem, those blinds are blackout blinds. Its very dark once the lights are off.

Thanks all for the positive comments, actually quite pleased with how I turned out.
Chair won't do it any harm as the flooring is meant for high usage/wear plus my daughter is tiny so no real weight there. Not to mention I can't stand those plastic floor protectors.
Floor was from B&Q, bought it ages ago when it was 33% off, have laid the same in my sons room too.

No damage, they either peel straight off or use a hair dryer to soften if any resistance. Only thing they may do is obviously block any general sun wear (lightening) where covered.
Fitted some Venetian blinds and some how managed to cut the ladders too short on one of them 
. Luckily found some on ebay for 99p a meter, otherwise it would have been £50 down the drain.

Finished decorating and installing dimmable downlights in the main bedroom.
Shopping list:
- 10 litres of Dulux White Mist
- 5 litres of Dulux Pure Brilliant White silk emulsion
- 8 white downlights from Screwfix
- 8 dimmable LEDs from LED Hut
- Out of shot - lots of cable, junction boxes, and a 2 gang Varilight V-Pro dimmer switch
Getting through the rooms one by one, next is the study.

First project of the year and something to occupy the wife and kids, a chicken coop/run.
Following our extension work last year we have a small bit of garden left that needs something done to it (currently a muddy mess with a load of old scrap wood piled up); plan is to create an area for a few bantam chickens, a small surrounding patio area large enough to place a bench and some steps leading to overlooking doors.
Last weekend I cleared the area, dug it over and levelled the dirt enough to make a start and check sizes.
Ordered some sleepers during the week which installed yesterday:-
Today I put down a base of sand and fitted drainage:-
Also picked up a load of unwanted patio slabs which I've started to lay (forgot to grab pic). Once laid I'll fill gaps/cracks with concrete, coat with concrete sealer, then put back the run, cover the area with wood chips and should be good to go.

Thanks partly to my daughter having a meltdown yesterday evening I ended up hammer-drilling a party wall at 7:30pm. Though we did apologise to the neighbours in advance.
I was putting up these, which I knocked up over the weekend. The peg rail was a 30min job and I can't believe how much people charge for these online. I reckon it's about £3 of materials. The coat rack was an afternoon's worth and cost about £20. They'll both be painted eventually but they're just fine sanded for now.
