Void burn, always a tough call for nightfalls. Do I go Voidwalker for extra damage or Sunslinger for the extra protection on nightfall.

Definately going to run Preadyths Revenge, usually use corrective measure but might give truth a go this time.

Given the length of the strike (short) I would say voidwalker up to the final boss and then switch to Sunsinger (probably before the goblins on the ledge area to allow your super to charge).

Best of both worlds..

Mix it up with the Obsidian mind helmet and it will be Nova bomb central for the Servitors... :D

If solo, go Sunsinger. If team, Voidwalker.

Just don't do what I did before - throw a super only to let it get caught on the edge of some ceiling and instant suicide :rolleyes:

I've got the calling that has identical stats/slightly higher impact (with armour piercing and third eye) and it hits for 15% more damage on every hit. Yeah i have to pull the trigger, but if it hits better than the VoC then i don't care. The saterienne rapier from the crucible quartermaster is also MILES ahead of the VoC as it has the firefly perk, same as the fatebringer. Obviously i'm not saying every 331 is better, that would be moronic. But if you look around there are better 331 weapons for most types, so if there's a decent, easily obtainable replacement, then you'd be stupid to stick with the lower damage weapon.

The only time the VoC will still be applicable is upon taking out loads of solar shield enemies or for a solar burn weekly event. Outside of that, it just isn't the king anymore.

How can i get a decent AR? I can't do raids because I can't mic.
 
RNG drops - from DLC playlist or Crucible. All down to luck of the drop.

Otherwise, Suros Regime is probably the best Exotic AR available, if you're lucky, Xur might sell it. So start saving Strange Coins and be prepared to pony up 23 coins for it.

I got a drop "Up For Anything" and it's actually quite a decent AR.

Another is to grind Hive Bladebearer and get the Husk of the Abyss. Kill Thralls to level it up, before grinding Eris to level 3 Rank to get an Embalming item to make the level 10 weapon into a Legendary. The stats is basically a 331 Atheon Epilogue without the elemental damage.

Assuming a decent all round AR - Grind up your vanguard to gain a commendation (achieved when you rank up) and then grind up your marks until you hit 150. Purchase Up for Anything from the Vanguard QM.

Alternatively get lucky with RNG drops from strikes / weeklies / NF and get Suros (my pick) / Hard Light / Monte Carlo (PS4/3 only).

My overall pick is Suros followed by Up for Anything (replaced by old Shadow Price as my legendary primary AR) and then Atheons Epilogue (only drops in the VoG).

Alternatively rank up in the crucible and put your rep towards IIRC High Monarchy. They sell the Vanquisher IV which is basically Shadow Price 2.0 with 22 rounds.
 
I've got it maxxed at 331 and it's my main primary :p I like high recoil ARs, makes the game more fun for me.

Just got my warlock to level 30 and farmed some glimmer up ready for Xur on Friday - that 'Exclusion Zone' method is ridiculously good for glimmer and green engrams.
 
wow, I got some exotic 33/36 level boots from the nightfall this week, for my hunter

Knowing my luck I'll get a raid helmet drop before boots so will have to level up these aswell :(

Coins from nightfall for me. At least my hunter got CE raid gloves from soloing lamps. Warlock got materials and Red Death from soloing lamps and bridge so not all bad. See y'all on the 30th
 
I got a new gjallahorn, a terrible, terrible pulse rifle (which is a shame because the visual model looked really good) and a terrible arc rocket launcher called the cure. I also levelled up my vanguard and got.... a mote of light! woop!

I'm also disappointed by just how rubbish the atheons epilogue is. Seems every time a void burn comes round it seems a hell of a lot worse than it did the previous time i played with it.
 
played for ages grinding the blades of crota on earth and then over the last weekend grinding that silly map to get the Husk of the Pit gun. Guess wot - two days later it drops again whilst killing blades on earth - pffffft.

Do we get anything for dismantling it?

I spent an hour and a half grinding mine. In the next hour i killed a couple of sword guys for hive majors bounty and got another 2! Such a joke haha
 
Anybody else on here online on PSN tonight and fancy some L22 supportable Strikes? If so, add "Makhaira_" ! (oh, and don't forget the underscore ;) ). Hopefully see some of you later!
