CS:GO Discussion

Yes abandoning will give you a cooldown :S

Off to abandon a few matches on my 3rd smurf, need to derank from DMG for playing with lower ranks

Why dont you just play on it normally for 3-4 matches, that will see you lose a few pegs ;) Stop giving it to boosters :D Also, I will be back 'online' in a few days so gimme a shout for some games! ;) We can whine about how bad everyone else is, like the good old days.

I'm just getting the fed up with the widespread cheating on this. Can't even enjoy a bit of casual play without finding it on popular servers. C'est la vie.

So quit. Never understood how people can whine eternally about something and yet still go back to it time and time again. You are aware you have a choice to play something else, right?

Not sure if /sarcasm or serious? :o

Or pay 4,50 per month and play on ESEA. But I would imagine that the skill level there is higher than the public 'competitive servers', so just don't be a noob by calling someone a cheater there :p

Is the marketplace down?

Still trying to get some more online friends to play this with. Got 100+ hours in the game and just started playing competitive... Rank: Silver One with 23 wins.

Correct, I do have a choice. And I'd quite like to play CS:GO and not something else. So what's the problem with making a comment about a certain type of player(s) ruining the game?

Sarcasm or serious? By popular I mean community servers (not Valve) run by communities with a regular and active player base.

As for ESEA, no thanks. Had my fill of that cesspit when it was 'popular' in CS:S and 1.6. And playing on public servers has no indication of my "skill level", but thanks for that slightly elitist tone. ;)

Pray tell what difference the perpetual whining about cheating - which isn't nearly as widespread as you believe and others make out - has upon i) cheating itself ii) the community iii) actually having anything done about the issue?

Half of the reason the CS community is so cancerous is because of raging morons accusing everyone who gets lucky or a decent frag on someone a hacker.

If indeed you're on casual and you believe you find a hacker, just swap servers, not as though it has any impact on you - with the exception of taking up perhaps 5 seconds of your time.

Considering I've been playing CS since its inception, and at lots of different levels, I like to think I can say with some confidence I can see when someone is or is not cheating, and the difference between a "lucky or decent frag" and not. I'm not someone who will blurt out cheats simply because I've died; I'll analyse what has happened and keep an eye out. I just get fed up with how common it actually is. You may not think it is, and it may well still be a very small percentage of the player base, but that does not shy away from the fact that it does happen, and is a common problem.

CU@LAN.

It's nothing to do with the hackusations (these exist in every game, even games where there are no known cheats, f.e. War Thunder).

The real reason is the internet. Some people should be banned from the internet when they've had too much to drink/are having a bad day/get out of bed on the wrong side.

Nope

I see no queens crown, add yourself here - http://steamcommunity.com/groups/ocukcsgo

Pub servers are way too easy unfortunately so its not much practise. I was impressed just how fast people on here are:
http://fragshack.esea.net/index.php?s=servers
so long as its near full its generally a good test for esea level I think. Esea can be quite toxic, it varies it seems slightly more open just now
