Yup our fireteam got kicked to orbit last night right in the middle of a Valus ROC strike. Annoying as we had just made it to him.

There seemed to be server issues for around 30 minutes which stabilised after.

Didn't get anything of note from the strikes but did manage to max out my marks across al three characters. Only ended up buying relic iron and spirit bloom (all of my weapons and armour seem to need those two materials :confused:) as I have (or have had) every vanguard weapon I care about and already have full raid armour.

I thought it was going to be Archon Priest... (based on rotation). I assume they are just random now.

No burn is the same as the last Cerberus Vae strike IIRC. Expect a 15 minute long final fight with a sponge that refuses to die. I will certainly be cheesing this one given how little damage even a fully upgraded IB does to his head. :o
 
Surely NF with no burn is the weekly? Look at last week how much harder the Weekly was than the NF. In fairness though I would rather take a NF with no burn than a ridiculous burn like when we had Omnigul with Arc.

Always has gone Nexus - Cerberus Vae - Archon Priest

You can burn him down quite fast with Gjallahorn (if you have it), just save all your heavy ammo you get during the strike and fire all 7 rockets at him when he comes out of the door, quickly use a synthesis and repeat. Use weapons of light if you have it.

At the front of the room where you fight him, there is good cover from his mental minigun to do it from.

Only downside is you'll have potentially a lot of crap to dodge to get into a safe spot after raping him with rockets.

Yeah I don't know how we managed Omnigul with Arc burn on that week.... I can't recall if I did it across three characters or not now. It was hell...

Minus G'Horn this is my tactic as well. After firing all my rockets I drop down below the stairs on the left and snipe him. IB makes this "easy" but still takes some time.
 
You guys had much success soloing the second chest on CE? Seems straightforward but I've always fluffed it. Door closes once cursed thralls explode right?

Twice I've tried with OcUK-ers and twice we did not even see the door closing.

Reading Reddit shows a couple of guys wipe themselves and the moment they spawn to the moment the door closes, it's on a 1 minute timer.

So if you're doing it, just wipe when you don't see the door open or closing / as long as you don't enter the room with the drop into the final area, you still have a chance to reload and run it in 1 minute.
 
Done it with 3 people, 2 taking out the shriekers with the third running for the chest. Even then the timing was tight to get in before the doors closed so impressive if anyone can run it solo.

Edit: With the 3 of us that is what we did, wiped and soon as you re-spawn start running. 2 fire a rocket each at the shieker to kill it then run to take out the second shriker. If you get it right shrikers should be taken out before the runner gets to the invisible walls.

Myself and Mazin managed to get the 2nd chest when we duo'd it the other night. I made a run for it and let Mazin take out the shriekers. I then promptly died and Mazin ran past me and made it through to the chest.

So yeah, I was basically useless, but we got the chest all the same! :p
 
I've solo'd it. As a bladedancer hunter, I snipe the first shrieker and allow the fire from it to disappear, then crouch to go invisible. Run into the room until I can see the second shrieker, fire gjallarhorn at it, and immediately melee the nearest thrall to go invis again. Then run/double jump to the door before the invis drops again. Takes a few tries but not too hard to pull off. As far as I can tell the door doesn't start closing until the second shrieker is down so you can take your time with the first.

You were useless??? The reason we wiped the first time was due to me Gjallarhorning myself :D

But yeah, seemed more luck than judgement on my part. Gjallarhorn rush the Shreikers then make a run for it, ignoring everything else.

Make sure you jump over the hole just before the door as well. Running around it just wastes that extra second you might need.
