As a side note in the independent:

Andrew Parker, Director General of MI5, claimed a group of Syria-based al-Qaeda terrorists are planning mass casualty attacks against the West.

Mr Parker said in a speech at the MI5 headquarters in London that extremists still wanted to "cause large scale loss of life" by targeting transport networks and landmarks.

Syria based Al-Qaeda islamists intent on doing us harm? Surely not the same 'moderate rebel fighters' which David Cameron and co were supporting in their attempts to topple Assad, those very same rebels which Putin has been warning us about all along? :confused:

Are they the ones that were trained by the British Army at Bassingbourne barracks a while back or were they pro-Assad?

It's hard to keep track of which set of rebels/freedom fighters/nutjobs HMG is supporting these days...

I practiced Tae Kwon Do for a few years which was founded in 1955. When I was practicing, the original founder was still alive and giving seminars, and yet many people still couldn't agree on what 'True' TKD was. There are now 100s of groups all with different opinions on technique, philosophy, patterns etc.

What hope does any form of religion have of staying true to it's roots, no matter how noble or messed up they may be?

Anyway I personally hope these guys are brought to trial.

Indeed. I want them to face the full punishment allowable under the law, because thats what makes us better than the terrorists.

Those were Libyans and caused a hell of a lot of trouble when they were here including multiple shop lifting and at least 2 sexual assaults.

It got so bad they all had to be sent home early in disgrace.

The French don't muck about full stop where the security of the Republic is concerned.

Where do they go? Join ISIS in Syria and Iraq? I'm guessing most wouldn't be interested as while they aren't happy with the way things are here they would not like to be in a nation ruled by ISIS...
