Shooting at French Satirical Magazine

yahman - bitslice is ere too now - let the party git started yeow!

Cue 15 pages of going in circles with bigots arguing

You should start by apologising for being a disgusting little zealot, and you know very well what i'm talking about. But i suspect you'll cower from that as well as randomly accusing posters of being BNP members

I have read what he wrote, and like I said he talks a lot of about this vague notion of protecting Europe's Christian heritage rather than Christianity itself - he appeals to pagans, and atheists too. The dismissal of the link is because it's simply not relevant, however much you'd like to be able to say "Christians are just as bad as Muslims for terrorist attacks" it's just not a correct thing to say.

As I said, Anders is hardly the only example, you can consider George Tiller or James Knopp if you like or go and look up Christian Terrorism on Wikipedia. You're missing my point, regardless, which is not as you put it "Christians are just as bad as Muslims for terrorist attacks" but that the simplistic narrative that these attacks were motivated by the Islamic faith fails to understand both the motives and the causes. When attacks are carried out by other individuals, we seek to determine the underlying causes but when its Islamic terror the narrative is reduced to "they was Muslims, innit".

Always makes me lol when I hear Brevik used as an example, he went postal because his government was rolling over for the muslims. If there was no fawning multiculturalism being shoved down everyone's throat, there would have been no Brevik.
Odd how responsibility is so easily passed from the mass murderer of children/teenagers when the person involved hates immigrants.

One could say with just as much worth & meaning "If the west would just bow down to Islamic extremism & convert there would be no bombings!".

Clearly both statements are utter tripe.

Paris kosher supermarket hero Lassan Bathily to receive French citizenship after saving hostages from gunman Amedy Coulibaly

The Malian national who was hailed as a hero for helping hostages to safety during the kosher supermarket siege in Paris is to be given French citizenship, French media have reported.

Lassana Bathily was the subject of an online petition signed by around 300,000 people, calling for him to be given a French passport as well as the Legion d'honneur, the country’s highest honour.

Mr Bathily has been widely praised for his actions to save people who would otherwise have been held captive by the extremist terrorist Amedy Coulibaly, who was later shot dead by police.

Announcing the award for Mr Bathily on Thursday, France's interior minister Bernard Cazeneuve said he would personally preside over the ceremony on Tuesday 20 January.

A 24-year-old Muslim, Mr Bathily was also able to escape the supermarket siege through a fire escape after he had shepherded the customers to safety, and relayed information on what was happening inside to police officers.

Speaking after he escaped the supermarket, he told BFM TV: “There were several people who came to me [when the shooting started]. When they ran down, I opened the door (from the freezer).

“I turned off the light, I turned off the freezer,” he said. “When I turned off the cold, I put them (hostages) in, I closed the door, I told them to stay calm.”

:) Respect to this guy.

Also, just wanted to say to those who can't accept that the actions of those people responsible were those of individuals, then here is your proof right here.

If you were then to argue, 'He was just one man, and not representative of the beliefs of the whole Muslim community' then you would also have to accept the fact that it is possible that those responsible for the killings are also individuals, and not representative. ;)

I see France are standing firm for free speech... well as long as it's stuff they agree with.

French comedian Dieudonné arrested over Facebook

"Tonight, as far as I'm concerned, I feel like Charlie Coulibaly,"

Dieudonné wrote Monday, using a play on words that mixed the dead gunman's name with the ubiquitous "Je suis Charlie" slogan

Arresting comedians and potentially locking them up for 5 years for Facebook posts is ironic given all the song and dance over free speech over the course of the week. Not even taken in to account what he said wasn't glorifying terrorism or hate speech.

"You are looking for a pretext to forbid me. You consider me like Amedy Coulibaly when I am not any different from Charlie."

Says he feels like Charlie as a comedian who routinely faces similar challenges in people trying to silence him and on the other hand feels like Coulibaly as is portrayed negatively / as an extremist.

Its like 4/5 terrorists working together vs one good guy and a cop, which in super duper right wing terms, 60%/75% of all islam is turrist.

If you can accept the possibility of one, then you must accept the possibility of the other. Stats kinda don't mean a lot in these random instances. Particularly when we're still dealing purely with individuals.

terrorist acts carried out by Christians.
True Christians do not carry out acts of terrorism this is not what Jesus Christ taught his followers to do. Anyone can label themselves a Christian but that does not necessarily mean that they are a true Christian.

Biggest terror threat in the world comes from 'Muslim' extremists. Not heard of such a Christian group as bad as them.

Excellent news!

And the Pope shows how out of sync he is with modern (civilised) culture - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-30838667

"It's normal - you cannot provoke, you cannot insult the faith of others,'' he said.

Ummm, yes you can. It's called free speech and is healthy, normal and necessary!

Maybe he should watch The Life Of Bryan. Would he go out on a sanctimonious shoot spree afterwards?
