Dying Light - PC next gen zombie open world game?

Performance for me is fine I'm at 2560x1440 with 50-60 fps I have had to turn a few of the video options down but it look good to me. View distance is at 100%. Not had a crash in 40+ of playing.

I only have a 7950 and i5 3570, I have VMs running whilst I'm gaming most of the time,g granted they're mostly interested in RAM (and I have 16Gb) but it's not as if that helps when the game only uses 3-4Gb.

Stop blaming games its your pc...

Me and 2 mates have played 15 hours+ and no crashes no bad performance..

 Sure it is. No one else is having problems at all. :o

Really how much ram do you have? even on my poultry 6 gigs i dont see any crashes though i am seeing 96% usage!

Running 8gb here so I don't know why it's having a problem. I played a bit more last night as it's one of those moreish games. It crashed a few more times but hopefully they'll fix it soon.

SEEING AS MY SYSTEM IS FINE.;)

People with problems should list there full pc spec and OS + overclocks etc and i reckon there's a pattern with people who are having problems.. everyone playing on my steam friends have zero problems and most of them have either 970's or 980's single GPU's and game at 1080p except one who's 1440p

the only problems i ever hear about is only from this forum..

i sent the link below to everyone who's playing on my friends list and was all impressed with FPS gain and how much better the game looks.. might be worth trying.

Do you really think it's just people on here having issues and no one else out there is?

You only have to google "Dying Light random crashes" to see a list of issues and supposed fixes. They wouldn't be there if everything was ok.

Even admins on the forums admit there are known crashes http://www.dyinglightforums.com/general-dying-light-forum/5377-please-help-random-crash

And what about those on here stating that it was running fine for them until a patch and are now getting issues?

The game itself runs fine for me, I've changed settings back and forth and always runs well now. My issue is that at about 15-20 mins it just stops. No memory issues as it is sitting around 5.5gb leaving 2.5gb free. It's just a case of waiting and hoping they sort it.

I'm crashing every 30-40 mins, I think it's a memory issue. I've upped the pagefile but it doesn't seem to affect it. Crash log doesn't show any errors which is why I think it's memory related, it just fills up and falls over.

Does anyone else have a smooth game until you get grabbed by a zombie or get anything on the screen that blurs/obscures your vision? My game runs fine but the second I get grabbed or the spitting zombie covers my screen in green goo my FPS just bottoms out to literally 1 or even 0 for a good 5 seconds, even though the audio continues as normal and then runs smooth again. It's really annoying.

Yep, I get that. And only in the instances you describe - storyline cut scenes are fine and the game itself runs silky smooth for me, apart from when I'm grabbed by an enemy.

I get the odd drop in frames here and there but I'm having the same issue. As soon as I get grabbed or puked on, the game turns into a slideshow for a few seconds.

Only really issue I'm having with the game at the moment.

Only time frame rate really gets mental on mine is indeed when getting covered by the spitter guys. Turns into a slideshow as I'm going nuts trying to whack 'em to death when they've spat on me, the *******s.

Mind you, to get it in any way acceptable on my laptop I've dropped the res slightly, disabled AO and turned off the film grain effect.

I found that turning off motion blur just led to a weird effect that looks similar to 3D crosstalk when people are moving during cutscenes etc. That annoyed me more than a few dropped frames!

Caved in and bought this last night. For the hour and a half I played it, I really enjoyed it. Seems fairly solid, and while the parkour takes a bit of getting used to, when you get it flowing it feels fantastic.

Only gripe I have atm is everything feels too close to the screen. Noticed a FoV option but that seems to be vertical only.

Would this be fine on SLI 680s? would i max all except view distance of course?

Cheapest place to get it is? :p

Anyone else finding the gun play super easy? And the AI is really bad.

I mean with the Police Rifle, I'm popping head shots like a pro CS player. And I'm really not.

Not supereasy but like using guns - its like payback for me having to run scared. Now I take it to them. Tend to only use guns thou not in the open. Like during quests or the hazmat things. Love killing those volitiles too even thou takes a few shots.
