That would / will be ridiculous. But I guess it's what happens when there is little competition.
There is competition especially at the mid end. That's just what happens when Nvidia launches another gen of milking cards. Little performance gain if any. Overpriced and underpowered. Yay..
Also the 970 false marketing.. Nvidia are on a roll this gen.
Arguably AMD have an answer for every tier at a better price point..
They also offer the only truly 4K ready GPU's with the 290X 8GB's..
Nvidia will bring GM200 soon better for 4K but I doubt you would get much change from £1000. Great stuff Nvidia !
I'll guess that the 960Ti will effectively be a more efficient 290 for slightly more money.
The problem is the 970 already does that job, at 1440p in particular the 970 is not that much better than a 290.
