This sounds very familiar. Seems You and I have similar thoughts. :)

I'm also not sold on the temp sensing stuff either..... Yet.

All that said since getting the SMPL from FT I've come back to Mechs again. But I do love the regulated mods, consistency is key for me. :)

The SMPL look like nice bits of kit. Shame they do not to 18500 versions. Going to get a 4nine mech to give my stingray some rest.

The Sigelei both look nice.

The temp sensing, it growing on you then? I heard Nickel is a pain to coil with as well? Tempered Nickel is a way round it?

How is your ubertoot?

I haven't touched the Sringray X since getting the SMPL, love the minimal look of it. :)

Not sure on the temp sensing, will see how others take to it first, I've seen the Ni200 is a bugger to work.....

I love the UTA, its just a work of art and vapes so well. Still haven't used the mini kit either. I know its pricey and its is deffo the most I'd pay for an atty, but I've literally not used much else.

I also dont buy a lot of 'stuff' anymore. The UTA was the last thing I bought aside from the SMPL which was a tenner.

I hear good things about the YouDe Goblin too, which is tempting. :)

Yea I like the minimal look of the 4nine.

I want to buy couple pieces of high end gear, seeing as I have had clones / low end gear since starting. To see if the price difference is really worth it. The Rose V2 clone I have is incredible. Great flavour and no leaks/ burnt hits.

Ubertoot and a vv/ww are the last on my hit list I think. That is until something game changing comes out... haha!

I thought I'd share some of my recent experiences, hopefully someone might find it helpful if they're thinking about upgrading from the Nautilus or similar sometime soon.

So I was very happy with my Nautilus and Nautilus Mini, using them on a Sigelei Legend V2 and an EVOD VV battery for out and about, but I kept reading about the Atlantis so decided to give it a try. I picked one up with a Sigelei Mini 30W which is an excellent bit of kit; I kinda wish I'd gone for the 50W but I doubt I'd go over 30W very often anyway, c'est la vie. Anyway, I really didn't get on with the Atlantis at first, I found that I couldn't do mouth-to-lung hits anywhere near as well as the Nautilus' so I googled and found out it's better for direct lung inhales. Gave that a try with my 24mg nic juice and felt sick after a couple of puffs, so went back to the Nautilus'.

I left it a couple of days before giving the Atlantis another shot, still with the 24mg juice but found I could handle it much better this time around and was actually really impressed; the flavour is much, much better and the clouds, oh the clouds! I did have to change my habits slightly, I couldn't chain vape like I had with the Nautilus because of the amount of nicotine I was getting but today I picked up the Subtank Mini and a few lower nic juices (6/8/12mg) and I'm a very happy vaper. I thought going from the EVOD starter kit to the Nautilus was a big leap in terms of improving the vaping experience but this blows it out of the water. I don't think I could go back to mouth-to-lung hitting now.

So I'm currently puffing on Heisenberg from Vampire Vapes in my Atlantis and I've got the Subtank Mini filled with Bandit from the California Vaping Company. Got it all from my local B&M shop, http://www.flavourvapour.co.uk/ - it's certainly nice being able to try the juices before buying as I really didn't think I'd like any tobacco variants but was pleasantly surprised with this Bandit stuff! :D

I've gone of the Nautilus mini, it's a good tank and I like the vape - but seem to be constantly having to use latex gloves, pliers and such to unscrew it and refill.

Ended up switching to the subtank mini as it's less maintenance *but* I've ended up dropping from 18mg on this to 6mg (and I guess using more juice) as I find it too hot and stronger juice makes me cough my guts out.

With that tank, neither of my eleaf isticks work properly so i've had to use an mvp 20w. That of course doesn't sub ohm so I'm building 1.5 coils for it.

First world problems. :)

my new 30a vtc4 efest 2100mah batterys came today, been fogging it up on my mutation x2 @ 0.2ohms on my 4nine, the looks ya get off folk is priceless :D damn I love my dripper and mech mod, so small and powerful!

My billow decided to stop wicking, burnt hit after burnt hit, when I took it apart it had pretty much burnt through the wick.

So rebuilt it, 14 wraps 25g kanthal coming out @ 0.6ohms

Wicked it differently leaving the juice channels completely clear

its now vaping at 6.7v!! 7 big chain drags only a slight very slight hint of dry burn on the last hit, pretty impressed with that for a tank

Is anyone a member off bvg trades page? I'm just wondering if that microstick bundle is worth it? I really want one but don't want all the stuff with it. With it being a mech mod, I know I be disappointed in the end.

Damn! 14 wraps of 25g that's a 6.5mm wide coil. It might dry hit because it will be taking ages to wick the juice to the middle of the coil as it's so long. I tend to keep my coils under 4mm wide my self, 3.5mm is about my average

MASSSIVE COILS! they only just fit in haha!

its working like a dream though so I'm happy, When I say dry hit after 7 hits I mean blowing clouds 1 after the other which I wont be doing on this tank, its for driving times

If you tighten the Nautilus mini, then back it off a notch you won't have to break the pliers out to refill when it's empty.

Also, know what you mean about the Subtank mini heat. No way I could vape 18mg in that! I'm using the 0.5 ohm coil between 5-10w and 6mg can blow my head off lol. Did a few 25w pulls wide open for a chuckle, but it's beyond practical.

Hey guys got a question for you all,
If i have 100ml of 24mg 60/40 pg/VG and 100ml 12mg 60/40 and i mixed them together what would it be, im looking for 15-18mg if it can be done at all. Thanks

Randal, what mod are you running to get 5-10 with a .5ohm coil?
Most regulated mods don't fire low enough volts to actually go that low, I run mine on a DNA40 at 15w which is around 3v, most typical regulated mods can only fire as low as 3.3v or 3.6v, bar the dna40, sigelei 100w and istick30w and 50w... there maybe others.

Only reason I ask is I have had friends claim they are running at a certain wattage and then when they tried the same on a Regulated mod with true buck (DNA40 or istick), they found it different, and that's because if you run on say an ipv2, it cant fire below 3.6v... so if you try it will fire and show the volts it Should give, but will actually be firing at 3.6v regardless, they stop regulating below their limit....

Hey dude. Eleaf get some good reviews.

http://www.eleafworld.com/index.php

The iStick is very similar to your MVP, with a mini that is even smaller (but less battery life). for around your £30 mark. However they are rectangular of shape.

The iJust they have on their website caught my eye, don't think it's out yet so might have to hunt around of reviews, but your batteries will fit in that.

Depends how pretty you want it to look too. I believe your protank 2 is 18.5mm in diameter? Most cyclinder mods that fit batteries will be 22m. This might not bother you!

Other option is to get a mechanical mod. Which is basically just a metal tube that houses the battery. No variable wattage or voltage, more or less just pick a design that you like and away you go, using pre-built coils you are pretty safe using these.

Cheers for all your suggestion and I think I am going to for the iStick 30W as the main replacement for my MVP.

I am also thinking of try this NEMEIS V4 MOD but before I click the buy button would anybody be able to confirm that I could just insert one of my 18560 batteries screw on my protank and start vaping or do I need to buy anything else? Also are these any good or a waste of 20 quid?

It's a clone, but Nemesis is really considered as the benchmark and the cadillac of mech tube mods.. :)

waste of £20 for a protank, especially if you are getting an istick.

Gave that a try with my 24mg nic juice and felt sick after a couple of puffs, so went back to the Nautilus'.

How you managed that is beyond me! I dropped from 12mg to 6 for my Atlantis and ran out of 6. Nicked some 12mg from a mate to tide me through and I nearly died every time I used it :p

Just rebuilt my Mutation X V2 coil, was a week old looked a bit groggy.
I re-wick once per week and dry burn the coil, and I re-build fully once per month or less.

this is how I vape, 22g kanthal, 7 wraps, 0.2ohms. beauty!

When I was done tweezing it etc, was 0.18ohms.
