Ain't she a beaut?

It's a shame about the CO2 tab, but that's easily remedied. She's a cracking little pistol, and the only Makarov replica which meets my preferred criteria. It's build quality and performance is very similar to the Umarex Beretta Mod. 84 FS.

That looks very nice indeed... are we allowed to ask where from... presumably an import?

That would take your eye out, its no toy!

I took out someones eye-brow out with a pistol she was a beaut - it was a 'The Gat' and we all had one and used to think we were cowboys/hitmen shooting each other because they had no power in them until one day I shot my mate, he said nothing but someone told his parents a few days after his stiches were done. It was the stupid thing kids do but once the old bill got hold of it they took to another level - Malicious Wounding (next charge up is attempted murder) how ****ed up is that for a 12 year old kid playing with his mates, yep they took me to court and threw the book at me - everyone including my mates parents were stunned (they just wanted me to get a kick up the arse).

Needless to say that guns were off the agenda after that little incident but not before another mate got a pellet in the leg that went into the bone and deemed best to be left by doctors at hospital (nothing to do with me) but the kid got a ticking off (not even a police caution).

I love guns, used to shoot for various teams from .22 (bullet not air) to full bore 7.62 target rifles. I got to shoot GPMG's - SMG's - shotguns - old muskets - all sorts of hand guns mostly 9mm. I can still make out the burns from the GPMG shells that went down my sleeve one day and burn the skin off my arm.
I think it was my connection to firearms that got me such a bad charge - the coppers had never heard of a 12-13 year old that had so much experience with them, I guess that it was a reason to think I was a nutter but really I was just an average kid that won a lot of competions and got to do stuff most kids didn't. I still love guns but never own one since I was about 18 when I sold up to pay for driving lessons. My old range doesn't exist anymore and the local gun club is just rediculously strict - I used to take my ammo home with me at 16 but left my rifles in the armory, no forms no faf. Now its all so clinical I can't stand it. Gone are the days of camaraderie with the lights down at the back of the range cracking jokes to put the shooters off on the point, with the smell of gunpowder filling your nose and clothes, all the fun has gone for me.

Maybe it wwant reason to think you a nutter but clearly a reason you should have known better and understood a airgun that fires pellets/metal bbs isn't safe to be shooting a mate with and so surely had to be a deliberate act to hurt them.

Why the **** would you use airguns for play fights when there's nice safe air soft guns exactly for that purpose.

Aren't toy guns meant to have an orange thing on the end?

No, that only applies in America!

In the UK, any device which resembles a "Realistic Imitation Firearm" (RIF) is supposed to be at least half coloured in a bright colour such as blue or orange, so that it can't be mistaken for the real thing!

If however you are a 'registered skirmisher' or a member of a historical society, (plus a couple of others) you can get a sort of exemption, but this can take up to three months or so.

The 'rules and regulations' are actually quite complicated, and don't always appear to make a lot of sense, but what I have written is generally correct, and a bit of Googling' will bring up loads more info.

As has already been stated, the pistol in question should certainly not be regarded as a 'toy' either!
