Anyone on for a hard run or two tonight? Would like to get at least my Warlock through it...
Id love to do a run tonight, unfortunately I work nights so raiding opportunities are limited. The only runs Ive done in the past, other than a couple with some of you are on 360 and with a load of annoying kids shouting and screaming (it seems like there are about 7 of them in each room and you can hear their speakers) which is a nightmare.
So weekends are afternoons and upto around 7pm is my limit. I'm using the Iron Banner to get me to 32/fill in the pieces I haven't got on all my characters :] Fortunately I love the PVP on Destiny, possibly because its one of the few games of this type I feel like Im any good at :]
Heres hoping for Gjallerhorn in Iron Banner.... off I go, sending them home crying. :]

Well most weekend myself and my mate are on pretty much all day and often look for PUGs during the afternoon. I'll add you to my friends list if that's alright and we can get on some raids at the weekend daytime too.
Not played much PVP in Destiny, have the bounties for Thorn, Invective and Bad JuJu sat in my inventory, all at the PVP stage, none of the started! lol! Maybe its because I approached it in the same way as Halo, don't think that was the best way to do it...

I'm happy to run sword on first run through. Second run through I might switch to my wife's account to get her 31 Warlock through (and procure more armour). She has Light Beyond Nemesis and decent weapons.
Tuesday 8pm GMT CE normal double run
1) midden 32 warlock 32 hunter
2) armoursingh 2x 31 titan, 30 (need spirit bloom for 31) warlock
3) OweO - 32 Hunter / 32 Warlock (might be a 31 Warlock on a different account)
4) Daviem66 32 warlock and maybe another if you can drag me through

Ok cool updated to 8pm and double CE normal. I'd like to do sword duty one run, have done it quite a few times with my warlock but never with the hunter!

Are doing full VOG HM after or shall we just share the gorgon maze checkpoint and do atheon?
Last week we managed to do Atheon 3 times on HM and the chest on everyones alts within 30 minutes so thats a possible 6 exotics drops in less than half an hour.

I'd be interested in how you go it as a warlock. I have done it 5/6 times as a hunter (I think) and I am doing some testing tonight as a warlock but I am not sure of the timing. I take it you run middle or do you have a different strategy (bubble method left and right rotation?).
Brilliiant thanks, that would be cool. Just remember, level and defence ratings go out of the window in the Crucible (except Iron Banner) so find a weapon combo you like and you should be laughing :]

I would have been up for the CE normal double run as I have one of each class now but Tuesday's I get the NF's done with some other friends. Did CE 3 times over the weekend and still no Black Hammer! That gun and the Hunter legs are eluding me. And vog.....Everytime I run it I get Preadyths Revenge and Atheons Epilogue. A Vex would be nice but to be honest if I got a Corrective Measure or a VoC I would be over the moon!
Ive done the sword with all the classes, warlock is the worst because hes so slow in the air when youve lost the sword. Just use that rock you stand on normally to become invisible between sword strikes and call rocket fire early so you arent standing on it for too long.
Pretty easy to kill Crota in 10 strikes (3+4+3) when you are 32 so makes it some good practise with little pressure. Its as fun as CE gets tbh

I've just done it with the usual centre or left side strategy, I sit on the left side rock, jump and glide....once rockets are in the air you can slash towards him.
At 32 it doesn't matter if he hits you a few times, and even when I'm doing it with work colleagues (who are a bit crap) and I only get one attack per sword he goes down easy enough....you have loads of time.
With a warlock it’s just timing, and having faith in your fire team with the DPS
, but you get more leeway on NMDoes blink jump not work better? You would cut down on the glide time of the jump and get to Crota quicker, ok you end up being a voidwalker so lose self revive, but if the timing is correct it shouldn’t mater.

If anyone drops out I'd be up for this. PSN is redrooster303 and have titan 31 (just got 32 today)) and warlock 30 (just need mats for 31 or chest n gloves 32).
Edit: Also not done weekly on one of my characters so if anyone wants to quickly do it anytime today, let me know by psn message.

Cool, I will have to give this a try.
My first time attempting it as a hunter was without invisibility (I jumped early) and it was ok. I also used to jump away instead of using blink strike so that shouldn't be an issue.
Sounds like it will just be down to timing from the rocket man (31 using G'horn so two rockets should do it).
I was quite suprised when I quickly attempted it with my Mrs. I thought I would give it a quick go solo (technically duo but she was firing the strangers rifle
- see my post in the Destiny thread if this sounds odd..) and Crota went to his knee from a single GH rocket (32 Warlock / 331 G Horn). If I got the timing down I think I could solo it.Well Crota NM can be easily 3manned and no doubt 2manned if you have a titan bubble with a decent rocket launcher. Soloing it just means you only get one go per sword from what Ive seen but timing is crucial to maximise the hits - wouldnt be something I would try myself as you end up relying on a grenade to take his shield down to the end while being close enough to be killed at the same time ...
