The HTC One Hima (M9) Thread

Yeah seems to be 3pm tomorrow

Hope it doesn't run into the Samsung reveal haha, I'm sure they would have considered that hopefully

There 2 hours between them, if HTC has a 2 hour key note thats just insane, but I wouldn't put it pass them haha. Most interested in the hardware and not their 100 sense features that they will cover.

Hoping this video i've just seen from Twitter is an elaborate fake :(

If it looks like what evleaks had posted a while back then it'll be an instant buy for me. This? No thanks.

It does indeed look pretty convincing from that video - not that I'm complaining really as I quite like the look.

Still undecided over a 5" phone or something bigger like the Note 4 5.7" screen - big difference in real estate yet I do really want the M9 (coming from an M7) ... Hmmm

I was on the fence too, and one day decided to make the jump and get a Note 4. I can honestly say I've never regretted the size, and will likely not want to go back to smaller phones any time soon.

There's just no downside to a larger phone, even for a small guy like myself with tiny girl-hands! The extra screen size, battery life, and so on are just great. I can still type on handed, use the phone with one hand, and I've not had any issues fitting it into pockets at all.

Went note 3...htc m8...and now note 4.... There's just no compromise with a note. If you are a power user... The note series is all that makes sense...

Hmmm tough call really, as an M8 owner I can't see any point to me "upgrading" the only thing this offers for me is a greatly enhanced camera, given most of my shots are purely intended to capture the mood or feeling of a moment and not the minutiae of detail in it I'm nonplussed about having a better camera for £500.

I'd have liked more of a design refresh than is currently being shown but I loved the M8 in terms of layout and looks, power button at the top wasn't an issue as I don't have ladies hands and there's double tap to wake.

If I was to have to go for another mobile this year it'd be the note 4 but as I don't I'll stick with my current M8 and see what next year or Q4 of 2015 brings.

Even though the evleaks render is a nice looking design, it's not as if the M7/M8 design is bad (quality issues aside that I read about).

Most of the complaints I read about with the M8 was the camera not being great under well lit conditions and the power button being at the top, so I'm guessing HTC decided they would keep with a successful design and tweak things to solve the complaints.

I really wanted to want the HTC as I've always had/liked them. But it may be safe to say Samsung gave blown them away.

Looks like one US retailer has it up: http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/0...-buy-with-specs-image-and-a-649-99-price-tag/

Guess I'll wait a couple of weeks for reviews, not really sure I want the device that badly any more, the Lollipop update on my M7 feels like it could last me a little longer.
