The HTC One Hima (M9) Thread

So does this 20mp camera have the sensor/stabilisation people were after?

Must admit, This looks like a decent upgrade from my M7.

But, I was wowed by the screen on the note 4, I bet I will be by the S6, But doubt I will be by the M9.

Nope, no OIS :(

Thanks for the clarification. I thought it was IOS I was looking but could not see it in the specs.

So if someone can get the camera sensor and screen from the S6 and put it into the M9 that would be great!

Not sure what to do now, also not sure a M9 would be worth it over an M8 price wise.

Rather tired of paying a lot for phones I got lucky with my M7 only £20 a month as it was as soon as it came out.

While not as nice as the evleaks renders, its still a nice looking phone.

Im gonna buy it. Been very happy with my M7 despite its flaws. Samsung phones just dont interest me and now they dont even have removeable battery in the S6 or an SD slot there is no reason for me to have one.

Well its a no for me. HTC are doing a Samsung and releasing the same phone three years running.

Quite. I can't see anything here to tempt me as an M7 owner let alone those of you with an M9. The only reason to buy one is the built in obselence which makes our older devices bin fodder when the battery gives up.

Not that I am bitter...

You can get a replacement battery for an m7, it's just not as easy to get into an M7 and you'll usuaslly need a new case as the original will get damaged when the phone is opened. I had to have my screen replaced about 6 months back and the guy managed to do it with minimal case damage. Not too impressed with either the m9 or S6, if only the moto x had an sd slot.

I agree, there's not enough in the M9 to tempt me to upgrade to it from the M7. The S6 looks good but I think this time I'll be upgrading to the Note 4.

I think if I was to buy a new phone at the moment, I'd go for an lg g3. It would be a decent upgrade on what I have and costs half what the new crop do.

Originally I was planning to switch to the M9 ASAP but I think I'll stick with my M7 for another cycle. S6 seems to offer more but honestly I don't like the design :p. Plus front facing dual speakers pretty much became a must have for me.

Next year I'm hoping the M10 features:
- Wireless charging
- Edge to edge display
- An improved redesign
- Better battery performance
- OIS camera

Until then I'll keep my M7.

You've just described the Galaxy S6 Edge

I enjoy front facing speakers, and I'm not a fan of TouchWiz.

Also, I'm not in the market this year for a phone. If I was, I'd might have gone for the S6E.

If HTC/Samsung release the above features along with front facing speakers I'd be happy to buy the device. The only caveat for Samsung is I'd want no Touchwiz.
