ISIS and Islamic militants - discussion

So you find ISIS useful because they put islam in a bad light ?
Even though that means innocent people dying by their hands...what a wonderful person you are.
It's not a bad light, it's an accurate one. And they are dying 'by their hands', not mine.

What would you prefer, for people to know its true nature now and do something about it, or have to wait until it infects every country beyond hope. Name me a single country with a muslim majority that you would actually want to go and live in, they are all toilets.

Do we need to go back a few pages *again* ?

I cannot believe how toothless the entire West has been in the face of this. I don't care what happened in Afghan/Iraq etc, the mistakes there are no excuse to permit what's currently happening. This lot are enemies to the whole of Europe, Russia, China and the U.S. yet nothing credible is being done.

Am I wrong in thinking that a real coalition of the aforementioned nations could systematically end this conflict in a month? Just annihilate them and then start rounding up EVERY known suspect and sympathiser on the respective domestic levels.

We seem to be on a slow sleepwalk into world war as new countries get infested by this lot as each month passes.

Indeed.

Forget World War Z, World War I has already started and we're sitting around deciding who to appease next.

The Saudis have been doing this for decades though...we have done nothing.

Yup, IIRC latest one was an ancient mosque near Mecca - drew condemnation from the Turkish Govt and that was about it.

Taliban did it with Bhuddust statues a few years before the invasion.

We had no reason to suspect anyone was going to damage them after our invasion in 2003+. So to have taken them would have been pillaging. We don't have time machines, so we don't have hindsight before the fact.

I was thinking we should have preseved these artifacts when Iraq was part of the British Empire. It's just common sense really not to leave valuable stuff lying around in unstable places.

So we can

Nuke, not going to work bad for earth in general
Conventional Weapons, nope tried that
Political, nope tried that

Only thing left is a cunning genetic weapon of some sort. eeeeeeeeek Scary.

How can the army fight against a bunch of cowards that will melt away into civilians, to attack with IEDs (see Afghanistan), so unless you plan to go in and wipe out everything, the army can do very little except become targets.

Or we can do nothing and concentrate on eradicating jihadism (jism?) in our own country.

That will never happen its impossible, due to the restrictions of not upsetting anyone and the being offended police.

I would sooner see ISLAM banned utterly in the UK, but that is for another thread and no doubt i will end up being called a bigot, ignorant etc etc.
