A Photoshop with a Galaxy home button and the camera from the Nexus 5 (a camera which isn't even centred on the last image)?

It's like UFOs. The moment you see one you must immediately reach for your worst camera.

I have an M7. In a few months it will be 2 years old. Is an M9 a worth while upgrade, or should I take a chance and wait for the M10 ?

Pre orders at carphone warehouse can be made from tomorrow, got a text about it earlier

Free HTC dot view case included too

Just wow, £579 for the same phone as last year! Do they think people are stupid? Well I guess some are :p but people will not be buying this phone in their droves. The clever people will just buy the m8 when the price inevitably drops or just keep what they have.

£554.99 on mobilephonesdirect...so it does indeed seem to be around that price, a bit disappointed in that.

Will need to wait a bit to see where the price eventually settles. However I suppose this is a flagship price.

Its a £400 phone absolute tops, and that's taking into account its supposed new model status.

HTC are trying the same trick that Samsung did with the s5 last year and look what happened there, hardly anyone bought it.

That's probably a bit harsh in terms of it's a £400 phone tops...I mean you could say that about all manufacturers.

The things to remember is that is has the latest Snapdragon 810, it's had a bump in RAM to 3GB, the base model is no longer 16GB and has been doubled to 32GB, there's now a 20.7MP Camera on the rear while retaining the Ultrapixel Camera now on the front end with the improvements also to Boomsound.

It's certianly a bit of a refresh but the components overall have been improved. I would have just liked to have seen it closer to £500 personally.

Amazon have got their placeholder page open now for you be alerted when it goes up for pre-order, I imagine their price will follow suit with CPW. However after my great experience with Amazon in regards to a Z3 Compact replacement I can't fault them due to the service I received.

*EDIT* Placeholder price now up for £725.15 :p That will change today at some point.

*EDIT* Settled at £579.99 so the same as CPW

*EDIT* Showing as unavailable again, for orders placed delivery estimates are between the 23rd and 27th of March.

How does this compare to the OnePlusOne?
I've still got my M7 and new phone time is approaching. Considering buying one outright and then just getting a sim only deal.

Whilst you are correct in that it has a newer processor, more ram etc, but if you were to use an m8 then an m9 for the same tasks, would you notice any difference at all? I suspect not. So angry birds will probably run a few fps faster, great. The things you would actually notice like improved design or better screen are exactly the same!

If you already have an m8, you'd have to be absolutely stark raving mad to buy an m9.
