Jeans - Branded vs cheap

I've had all kinds from £80 for good jeans back in the day to £11 jeans from Asda for work.
I now just get jeans for £20 from Next as they always seem to last and fit me well.
The cheap asda jeans were an absolute nightmare to iron - the missus flat out refused to iron them and I had to do it myself...so I binned them.

LIKE A BOSS.

Why do people think Levis are a big brand, in Yanksville they are half the price at best.

I buy cheap Tesco Jeans, they do the job

I often used to buy Levis and considering they don't advertise as much, not that I've noticed at least, they seem well overpriced. I've bought my last few pairs in Fat Face and the quality is great. Under £50 too.

Had a pair of diesel jeans. Don't seem to wear that well and the edges around the pockets started to wear away.

My Levi's have been worn a fair bit (and were half price, so nearly acceptable) and are aging very nicely. No wear at all, but as always, your mileage may vary. :p

It's not a hanging offence just my opinion.

Black are fine but blue just looks too young on an over 40 I think.
Clarkson never wears anything else - I rest my case.
er clarksons jeans look like 90s style jeans.

the problem is the colour he wears not the jeans.
who wears blue jeans that light?

navy blue or black is the way to go. not jeans that look like the colour has faded and they could even be the same jeans he had as a teenager

you're an odd bunch, i've had a pair of 501's for 12 years and they look nearly as good today as they did 12 years ago, i don't wear them every day though. but still wear them quite a lot, they're the dark grey'ish blue ones, very thick.

I buy most of my jeans at Primarni, I've never paid more than a tenner and they're all still going strong.

The Missus bought me a couple of pairs from Next. The front pockets wore out on those.

511's in midnight oil. More they wash the more dark grey (from black) with a blue-grey tint they become.

I tend to buy a couple of pairs of Next jeans every 12-18 months and they always wear at the crotch.

Best lasting jeans I've had were Lambretta and Sonneti but I refuse to pay that sort of money now. £20-30 a pair is more than enough.

As others have said, I don't get the appeal of Levi's (having owned a few pairs of the years).

Ignore the brand. Find a pair that fit you well and go with those, whatever the brand is.
This.

I used to buy H&M jeans but I sway towards a slimmer fit nowadays and realised that (a) the H&M ones lasted about 6 months as they were so thing and (b) they didn't actually look as good as I thought.

I shopped round for ages and eventually settled on Superdry Corporal slim. Yes Superdry is just a 'name' but at £60 they're not stupid money and they fit me absolutely perfectly. So much so that I went straight back and bought another pair in a different colour, and I'm itching to get another too as my other jeans just don't feel as good in comparison. I wear jeans every day to work so I wear through them pretty quickly. Like my wise girlfriend says, with jeans it's all about the fit. If you find a pair that fits just damn well buy them and don't worry about them being an extra £10 or whatever.

On a sidenote, does anyone have issues with 'phone wear' on their jeans? I'm starting to get lines where my phone sits in my pocket. Looks kinda silly :(

How are you guys wearing out the crotch on jeans seriously?

I cycled about a thousand miles in the same primark jeans the arse has a slight wear mark in a V shape from sitting on the seat with a sweaty ass in the hot summer months but apart from that they are fine.

well if you don't count the bobbles from where the jeans have stretched a bit to much with me cycling in them

I think they were like £18
