Can be worn either way round, so screen on top or underneath

24-hour heart rate monitor: Gives you a better understanding of your calorie burn, sleep patterns, and peak and resting heart rate so you can perform at your best.

Run: Whether you’re on the treadmill at the gym or outdoors in the rain or sun, you can view your run summary on your band with personalized metrics in the phone app including pace splits and heart rate.

Steps: Set a goal and track your progress. Microsoft Band calculates the calories you’ve burned and the distance you’ve traveled each day.

Built-in GPS: Measures the distance you’ve run and tracks your pace and route. Save your favorites to retrace your steps and challenge yourself later.

Calorie tracking: Count the calories you burn each day. View daily or weekly stats, set goals, and receive a virtual "high-five" when you reach them.

Sleep tracking: When activated, Microsoft Band tracks the length and quality of your sleep. Analyze the sleep charts in your app to gain insights about your slumber.

Guided Workouts: Fun and challenging workouts from fitness partners like Gold's Gym, Shape, and Men's Fitness with exercise prompts on the band and much more in the app.

Goal setting: Challenge yourself by setting daily step and calorie goals. Microsoft Band notifies you when you meet them so that you can stay motivated.

UV monitor: Get a quick read of the UV Index while you’re out and about

Looks nice, good that it has GPS and heart rate, but only good if the heart rate is accurate. Not sure I would ever use the screen. More just want to track steps and heart rate, would be good if it works well.

$200 and you wouldnt use the screen? GPS is rather pointless as your phone has that anyway.

Seems like nothing more than an incredibly expensive heart rate monitor!

I like the look of these style bands, but it's the direction of the clocks which puts me off.

Only really considered going for a 360 or possibly LG R. Moto looks great, but that bottom gap would do my head in, whereas the LG R looks like it's an old Casio rip off.

Just came to post this. Ive been holding out for this as it has GPS which most smart watches seem to miss out, so wont need to take phone running with me.
Should have a fitbit arriving from my new Lumia so will sell that to try and recoop some costs.

Just pre-ordered from the rainforest. Hoping I can get some staff discount from a friend from O2 but have the pre-order in just incase there are no better deals and amazon dont take money till dispatch.

They were fair in the pricing. (Can't help VAT!)

$199 = £135 + VAT 20% = £162

Very tempted by this, but cant help but wonder how long before a new one comes out...but then again, how long will it take to come to the UK anyways.

Is there any reason not to buy..............

Ask yourself, do you REALLY want to know your pulse rate when exercising.. I cycle a lot and binned my Garmin pulse monitor because knowing the daft rate my pulse went up to just scared me!

I won't be buying one!

If they release Cortana for Android I'll buy one.

I like Windows Phone but when even Microsoft puts out lazy versions it is a shame. I'm talking about the Microsoft Authenticator App.

One thing to keep in mind is that the band only really works face down, where when you look at it the screen goes across but when on the top it will be top to bottom. You can see this when watching the promo videos. This has put me off buying one.
