Used my new shoes for the first time last night!

What a revelation! They are amazingly stiff and the twist closure means you can get them nice and tight on the foot! Surprisingly comfortable for a first ride, can't wait to wear them in a bit now! Although the white is a bit in your face, but love em!

LG ones? They are great - I honestly can't fault them - had them around 6 months now and great fit, comfy, stiff but not ridiculous. Really good. Als in white, but my Caad8 is mainly white so all good!:p

This is just my Garmin 500.

GPS and Auto Power Down turned off and just recorded as a normal session uploaded to Strava/Garmin Connect.

Wasn't sure if it would continue to read due to needing moisture for the strap to work but also moving during the night but it didn't do badly.

Ah, good stuff. I'll try the same with my 810 I guess.

An odd turn of events, but after all my "ahh you don't need one....I'd never use it" talk earlier, I now own a power meter.

One of my mates at work said he would sell his Stages dura ace one to me for £200 as he was getting more into running rather than cycling and so rarely used it. Snapped his hands off for it and couldn't quite believe my luck!

Damn you. I'm super envious

That's a pretty good response then so far, any progress on catching the thieves? Evidence found etc etc?

You won't be disappointed in the Defy 0, I love my Defy 1. 105 is amazing and the frame so responsive compared to what I was using before (cheapy Carrera).

Police have gone quite and sent me a letter with a UV pen and stickers....

Hopefully will never be helpful to anyone but this website for posting bikes seems decent: https://stolen-bikes.co.uk/

Also, they have a site that you input your search criteria and it trawls the gumtree and ebay posts for you, the site is: http://findthatbike.co.uk/

There must be an app that'll do it? I'll try it with my S5 as that sits by my bedside overnight anyways. The inbuilt S Health app is useless as even paired with my TICKR it shows my HR but doesn't integrate it with the rest of the app as it's not taken from the S5's sensor (which is rubbish) :)

Amazing deal! Congrats!

It'll take them a while to follow things up, it always does. Took them nearly 6 weeks to get back to me following being knocked off in December. I'd filed the report and considered the matter closed long before. Dealing with the guys insurance I had funds for a replacement bike within 6 days. I was back riding within 5 (funds took 3 days to clear)! :D

Police acted surprised when they asked if I needed any help 'getting it sorted and getting back out on my bike' - when I told him I had been commuting solid for the past 5 weeks after the accident lol

Result! A no brainer at that price. Let us know how you get on with it.

Yep, that's the one, I need to remove the spd bit though, see I need to pop it out.

Carbon wheels have arrived. Woot :)

I have the afternoon off so I can carry the wheels and frame home today but it's a shame I don't have any of the other new bike bits yet so I can't build it all up.

Picked up my delivery of my new bike my wife bought for me for my birthday. Unpacked it and gave it a good inspection and in the words of Darth Vader Noooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

Gutted for you! :(

Guys with leg warmers... Opinions please!

I'm looking at the Sportful NoRain with the following sizes:

Code:
                    Small Medium Large Extra Large
Inside Leg cm 80cm 82cm 84cm 87cm
inches 31 1⁄2″ 32 2⁄7″ 33 1⁄8″ 34 1⁄4″
Thigh Circum. cm 51cm 55.5cm 60.5cm 66.5cm
inches 20 1⁄8″ 21 6⁄7″ 23 5⁄6″ 26 1⁄6″
Ankle Circum. cm 22cm 23.5cm 24.5cm 25.5cm
inches 8 2⁄3″ 9 1⁄4″ 9 2⁄3″ 10″

Measuring my legs... My Thighs are 65cm (XL), my ankles are 23cm (M) and my inside leg (crotch to bottom of ankle) is 73cm (smaller than S!). Am I measuring my inside leg wrong? I know my legs are short as I usually have to wear 30" to 32" leg trousers so should I just use that? (S/M). As these are leg warmers they really don't need to go the full length of my leg so is that required? I want them tight on my thighs so should probably go for Large... But I don't want the extra length flapping around my ankles! :p:rolleyes::eek:
