So I was working from home today, and was bored this afternoon, so...

Was wearing jersey and base layer today so more aero, still got held up a couple of times so an easy 30 seconds to gain there. :D

nice one!

I don't get some people, so at work we've got an alright ground floor garage, around 35 spaces for bikes.. - on the wall/front wheel racks.

it is normally quite full because at least 10 bikes are left here to rust covered in dust and crap for months, so we've got like 25 spaces left, which is normally enough, bar the summer.. when all the fair weather fairies come out and start commuting to work - which again is fine by me, I'll come in 10 mins early and deal with it..

one VERY annoying thing is noobers with bromptons and other foldable bikes, using the spaces.. - when other guys just fold up their bikes and leave them by the desk! WHAT IS THE POINT OF GETTING A FOLDIE IF YOU DONT FOLD IT!!! grrr..

I try do any serious attempts at a decent times round RP at 6am because it's usually empty. That said they seem to be letting cars in earlier and earlier.

Glorious sunshine this afternoon, tried out a quieter single track alternate part of the commute home today too, time to start branching out and extending the route now the weather permits!

Each to their own :p

Couple of good touring blogs I read and enjoyed - Jamesftravel & Dublin2beijing. James' is probably the best and he's done other touring/camping related things too, he posts on OCUK too! :)

So I was 'working' from home today

Edited for you ;)

Hahaha! So close, insane that 2 seconds over 20 miles places you guys 5 places apart on that segment. Shows how many 'race' RP! ;)

I'm guessing you didn't come in 10 minutes earlier this morning? ;)

It's nice here too, although we had sleet and rain before lunch so roads/tarmac still wet... I'm driving again so may go on the turbo tonight providing it doesn't rain (I turbo outside) as I'm long overdue a session. Still need to clean/basic-service my bike from the weekend...

Also have had a feeling of indigestion after my big ride on sunday - I've not been feeling 100% so I'm not sure if it's that or the ride... Spicy food last night didn't sort me out but fingers crossed turbo tonight/back to cycling commute will! Kill or cure! ;)

Or it could be my stomach muscles after riding for 2+ hours? I had sore shoulders/arms/thumbs which I've suffered from a little before, but they've cleared up after a good sleep. Just conditioning if it is muscles I guess!

Those with Strava Premium......worth it?

Basic riding/commuting/playing around... Nope. One off months to download .GPX's, set goals & play around = ok (free months ideal!).

Serious training I'd say TR is higher priority but to be honest neither break the bank compared to the cost of many other things!

No worries, just sharing my opinions (got lots of those) and experiences (got some of those too!) :D

You're very helpful!

I've just taken on a trial for a month, then I'll be having another two month trial from an offer I have but I wouldn't pay for it, there's a couple of feature that are okay, but they should be free.

My advice would be not to go for premium unless you're well off and have money to burn because the extras are not worth the price.

The only thing I'm using is to see where I suffer on segments and try maintain speed throughout that segment, but is that even a premium feature? I've only just started using that feature haha.

Mixed it up today and took a completely new route to work to avoid the winds higher up and killed my legs!

I'd say not.
I had it for the summer last year and it doesn't really offer much over the non-subscription. The odd sufferfest video might be ov some value but it has no integration like TrainerRoad. I pay my $7 a month to TrianerRoad at the moment and its been a far better investment. Not sure I will maintain it over the summer when I am outside more but its better value than Strava premium for sure.

Dunno. Can't see me having the power to generate enough heat! :D

I use a turbo tyre and i can't see any obvious marking on there at all. I've been using that tyre/tube since january and it's been fine.

How random.

I have had this before though in my case it was due to re-using an old tyre and there still being a shard of glass lodged in it.
