I have bought all my ps4 second hand so far but just cashed in on the paypal deal as I know I will want this to be accessible all the time quickly and will be hooked on it for a long time, can't remember how many times I played through Demon Souls.
 
Awesome game, atmosphere is fantastic, boy it is pretty tough though!

If they can shorten the load times that would be a big plus as they are a bit too long for a game where you die so much.

Taking some adjusting after the Souls games where playing defensively worked quite well for me (I was never that good but scraped by), you have to be much more aggressive in this game and it doesn't shy away from throwing a decent number of enemies at you at once.
 
Just got bloobourne for £30 digital:cool:

I messaged paypal about the promo not working earlier today and he replied saying there was a technical error so he credited my account with £10 towards this deal.

Went on a minute ago to try the promo and its working now so went threw the process and hey presto £50 of psn credit for £30:D

I think you have to speak to the woman in the hunters dream area, not done it myself yet but read it somewhere. It probably doesnt tell you this at anytime, this is the souls way of doing things ;)

roll on Friday ! Gonna pick this up , having never played the souls games but always been interested I'm looking forward to the challenge, and by the sounds of things it'll be a pretty tough challenge :)
 
done the first two bosses and into the next area now. Loving this so much that I cant seem to put it down lol. Died a ton of times but at the moment I don't actually mind grinding my way back to where I was. At first it annoyed me a little and I sweared a lot lol but now im getting the hang of things more im doing so much better. Loving the KirkHammer and the game looks beautiful. The atmosphere is off the charts and I love that you have to basically check every single corner as at any moment you can get killed.
 
4 bosses down, I cheated a bit and summoned help with
Amelia
but don't feel too guilty. I'm about level 30 or so and just tearing regular foes up when I go back to Yharnum centre to farm blood viles.

Best game ive played in a long time.
 
I really can't make my mind up about getting this, one minute I'm hyped, wanting to get it and get to grips with this series of games. (Ive never played Demon or Dark souls) In the next minute I'm hesitant to buy as I fear it's just not the type of game for me.

I remember Destiny on its release and the hype train was going full speed - the game has a huge fan base which is good - but I just didn't see it, I played Destiny and just thought meh.
 
Give it a go anyways. The Souls games are nothing like Destiny. They're tense, atmospheric, challenging, and air punchingly satisfying when you take down a boss.
