Are you buying genuine or clone dripper? If your getting a clone get the v2 with the wide bore drip tip plus adapter to use a 510 if you perfer, the genuine v3 is pretty much identical but the wide bore drip tip isn't as wide.
I my self use 22g haha, but iv also I use 24g some times, 26g though will be fine, but a 6 quid seems a bit steep, I get my wire from the crazywirecompany on ebay I think it's cheaper for 10m Could be wrong tho it's that long since iv bought wire as I get 50m reels.
But good choice with the mutation x, iv got erm 5 of them
the version 2 clones with wide bore drip tip and adapter. If you can find wire cheap enough tho try some 24g aswell I can't remember where I got my cotton from off top of my head but I got it cheap 5er got me 10 bags of jap cotton pads and they are great I'll have a look for ya when I'm on my pc.
Also what mod you using to power it?

I will be using this with my Sigelei 100w. I think it will fire down to .15 Ohms. I suppose I ought to get an Ohms-metre as well.

Stick with regular if you are new to building imo.

)As said, stick to regular Kanthal for now, get a few different gauges and have a place, you can always make your own twisted.

And get a ohms meter monkey, I suppose you can live without one untill your building crazy low or using mech mods as the sigelei has a ohms meter on it but it's not precise it rounds the ohms to the closest .05 but a ohms meter makes life easier.
With a sigelei 100w Id get some 24g aswell because you've got more than enough fire power there, also what battwries do you use? Ya want to make sure you use some good batteries I use efest 35a 2500mah in my sigelei

Just ordered 26 and 24awg from Tommy V's link. The rest (including the Ohm's metre!) has been purchased from Red Juice. Dan there is always helpful. There's another £100 spent on this "cheaper" alternative to smoking!

ive said this before, but if you like the mutation, then check out the "Infinite CLT V2 Plus", it blows the Mutation v2 away on flavour and clouds as well, and is under £30 for an Authentic RDA, maybe not as cheap as the Mutation, but then its far better too and just as easy to build on.

So I mixed up my first batch of red astaire - and it's made me feel queezy to say the least.
VG based Nic72 coming out at 8mg (I kept it low as I'm using the 0.5ohm coil in my subtank) PG based Red Astaire at 10%. PG/VG @ 60/40
It's leaving a weird aftertaste that after continued use has me feeling a bit sick. Glad I only made up 10ml.
I'll make up another batch as per the T Juice website 80/20 with 15% of RA.
My subtank also leaked really bad this morning with no obvious reason why.

Nic - 1.1ml
PG - 5ml
VG - 2.89ml
Flavour - 1ml
It's like a rotten veg aftertaste - like biting into a sandwich and the lettuce has gone off. I topped up with off the shelf RA and I can hardly taste it now.

What did you do after mixing? Shake it? I use to let it sit in a sink of luke warm - hot water. Occasionally shaking for around 5 minutes or until water went cold. To kind of artificially steep it.
Does the PG or VG have a taste to it?
To be honest I don't really know the implications of the PG/VG mix only that higher VG gives a bigger cloud but can make the mix too thick. Is that right? Other than that I don't know any more.

My understanding;
PG - Holds more flavour, harsher on the throat.
VG - More clouds, doesn't hold flavour as well, makes for a smoother vape.
