Swedish press are saying that it could have been "intended" suicide by the co-pilot?

That is... harsh.. and the 5th or 6th time that it has been done in recent history.

Horrible for everyone onboard and their families.

Controlled descent until you look out the window and see land heading towards you at 400 mph.. I think you can tell the difference between descent and just about to hit a mountain. That's when the poop would set in.

They would have been aware when the plane was a a lot lower than it should be and you can see the captain banging on the flight deck door like a nutter!

Aside from seeing a pilot trying to break the door down shouting? Of course they knew something was up. That and the unexpected descent into mountains where they even flew below peaks and eventually up the side of one until it hit.

You can see the cockpit door from the cabin in a 320 so the frantically knocking pilot would have given it away

It's hard to imagine how panicked everyone must have been, seeing the captain trying his hardest to kick the door in.

Wut? Given that they listen to the recording in a sealed room that is also shielded so no one outside can eavesdrop, I am going to say no, and no it wont be released.

Given it is mostly silence, with the captain knocking and the passengers screaming at the end, there's no reason anyone else needs to hear it.

The news report says there were no screams 'until the very last moment'

He lived near a Mosque and sources claim he was corrupted by clerics local to his house and was a recent convert to Islam.

Are pilots going to be screened more frequently for depression then following this? Assuming that is what they ultimately put it down to.

The point wasn't a grenade would be used in flight but the strength the doors are built to withstand.

Much easier than say it can survive x Newton of forces.
