*** The Official Bloodborne Thread ***

Just reached Blood starved beast. Got him down to 25% on first attempt. I suspect he doesn't like fire as my fire paper + cane seemed to do a lot of damage as did the molotovs, but I used them all up :) I think I can take him in a couple more attempts.

One thing I noticed is it took a long time to get to him from the Old Yarham Lantern (even after opening the shortcut that takes you half way down) The placing of the lanterns is quite rubbish, even when you take into account the shortcuts. Between the Odeon and Cathedral there is barely any distance and no enemies in between! Then the others ones in areas packed full of enemies are too far in between!

Again, you can run to the boss. I am where you are. Almost got him on my second try then had to go and farm for vials/Molotov's. Thanks for the heads up didn't try the fire paper!

Any of you guys who have started NG+, I have about 200k blood echoes but the doll is asleep, do I have to either beat the cleric beast or die to him to wake the doll or will just getting into the arena do it?

E. Ignore me, seems the doll was only sleeping the first time I visited the hunters dream. Catastrophe averted.

Well the running still annoys me :p BUT, I bet him on my second attempt anyway. Used up all my vials as he kept poisoning me and I ran out of antidote! I didn't have molotovs but I am convinced he is weak to fire as I used 2 fire papers and they seemed to hurt and semi stun him.

Edit: Noticed I have a chalice and some blood now, so you can use the headstones in Hunters Dream. Shall I use this now or continue the game? I read it is some sort of endless randomly generated level that you can use to get echoes and power ups.

Honestly the chalice dungeons have given me very little of use. I never got that many blood echoes from them (I may have been at a level in the main game that meant I was better off farming there) and the main item I got of note was more chalice dungeons materials.

Waste of money? Probably.
Cathartic? You betcha !!

Man, could have just removed from ps4 and shelved until you got round to selling. Shame. Guess your temper got the better as I admit this game does frustrate.

I expected to throw my controller but worse I've done is swear and I did punch my sofa lol.

And threw a few hissy fits in here lol :)

The bosses seem to get easier as you go on, defeated the old one reborn, the nightmare dude and wet nurse first time.

Just beat Gehrman on my second go, he only hit me twice I think lol :D

The moon presence killed me but it gives me chance to go and find stuff that I missed at least. Only levelled myself to 43 but my weapons were really beefed up

Is there any way to get to Darkbeast without using the Hypogean lamp? I've killed Rom before killing Darkbeast :(
