Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [3rd - 7th April 2015]

Shearer reckons Mignolet should have caught Ozil's freekick and saved Sanchez's shot. Not so sure about that, Alan.

Thinking the same, he pretty much dismissed 3 out of the 4 goals as poor defending or mignolet should have done better!
I'm sure he never gives Arsenal any credit!

Ozils free kick should have been saved, it was his side and he took a step the wrong way. It wasn't that good a set piece, it was poor goalkeeping.

He isn't at fault for the Sanchez goal though, he's just smacked that and got a bit lucky, Mignolet wasn't exactly in no mans land

Wow that Rooney goal is quite cool

Ozils freekick was pretty good, could have maybe been saved though as you said, was a nice routine blocking his view

3 awesome goals yesterday. All 3 probably contenders for goal of the season.

The QPR guys chip. (One of the best I have seen)
Rooney's touch and shot
Adams 66ft lobbing courtois

The QPR goal the other week from 45ft out was jaw dropping to.

Bobby Zamora. He has a knack of scoring spectacular goals on the same weekend someone does something even more outrageous. Gutted when we sold him :(

Said that all along that Spurs are no great shakes. Both matches we had against them we should have won.. Not sure I would swap any of their back four for ours.

Totally agree, it really is an average side at best. The fact that they're top seven shows how poor the league is.
