The HTC One Hima (M9) Thread

No, just switched phones on a daily basis with default audio settings/music player and the first thing that really stood out was how good the audio quality through the same earphones I use, the SM E10's, cant really change settings on iPhone 5 but no matter what settings I try on my Z3, it never seemed to match the audio quality of the M8.
HTC use better drivers or something as I've seen threads on XDA dedicated to flashing the HTC audio files on other Android's,

E10's are hardly decent earphones

£5 iem's made by phillips are better than them

that guide is made by 2 head fi guru's who have spent thousands on IEM's and tested about every decent IEM made

Is the camera that bad?

It's all in opinions mate...it can be a mixed bag but overall I've found the experience fine, my pics above were taken over the last two days and I think they've came out quite well.

I'll be out on Saturday night so will test a few more shots but overall it's fine. I mean I'm not zooming in at all angles or anything to check the photo's. :p

It should be better but it seems to do the job.

They were cheap and good quality. They're my daily drivers, had them for around 2.5 years. I have lots of ear phones, my fav are the Kitsound Euphoria but they fall out where as the E10's stay in.
So I didn't try with different ear phones. Just the ones i use on my daily commute.

MKBHD was saying that the camera module they chose was some random Toshiba thing as opposed to using a Sony sensor like every other manufacturer.

HTC really makes some truly bizarre decisions.

No clue why, it can't be supply as Sony throws them at everyone, can't be price since the OPO has one and its like 1/3 the price or something. HTC get me angry at times, there so close to being good but just making the stupidest weirdest choices.

Just pushed the button on my order, will be getting the Spigen case but I'm looking for a good screen protector too. Aint a clue what to get, any ideas?

I don't think it's the hardware, as the camera can produce the occasional properly good picture in daylight. But very inconsistently.

They've probably got some high up geeks who firmly believe you should buy a dslr if you want to take photo's so they take steps to make it so.

Yes the future of HTC and Sony does seem rocky. I hope they stick around, but they both need to up their game by releasing flagships with all round top performance and specs.

Tbh I stopped using screen protectors yeeeeeeeeeeeeears ago now! With how strong Gorilla Glass is now I see no need to protect the screen. All I do is remember to not place my phone into the same pocket as my keys etc :p

Get a Spigen Glass, Ok I know they are around £25-30 but you get what you pay for in my opinion. I've had one on my M8 for a year and it still looks like new, infact my brother has one on his SG5 and I sold him that before I got the M8. As far as I know the screen is the same size on the M8 and M9 so it should fit the.

I thought I didn't need a screen protector on my first M8, that was until I dropped it from around 2/3 feet and got a lovely single crack from left to right on the screen. Since that I've gone back to using Spigen Glass screen protectors.

That's fair enough mate...did you have yours in a case when it cracked or out of one?
