Took around 20 hours on my 8Mbit connection that runs around 2-3Mbit for half of the day, so 2 days give or take.

Big picture makes the difference for me personally.

I use my PC as a console setup for most of my games.

Contact their support and see. But surely you haven't lost £20, it will eventually download.

It keeps disconnecting my connection and I'm not sure why so nothing is getting downloaded.....

I'm sure it will be because their servers are getting hammered, everyone leaving it to download while they've gone to work so they can play tonight.

I was looking at doing this to copy it onto my gaming laptop. The best advice I could find is that the pre-load is encrypted using unique keys - aka probably wont work.

If you wait until the game has unlocked and then:

1: Buy the game on your sons steam acount
2: start the download
3: quit steam and copy the files
4: Restart steam

It *should* work.

I am doing the same at present on my gaming lappy ready for tonight

If you ordered the physical copy and install it you've got a 5Gb patch so far apparently to get it up to date.
