***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

lol at people staying up all night to play it. I will be laughing muchly when their day 1 patch takes a gazillion hours to download and they can't play at all :p

I will be playing it tomorrow at some point all being well. If not, I will play it the next day instead :)

Staying up all night or taking time off work to play a game is pretty, well, sad to be honest with you.

Or maybe I'm just jealous because I can't :D
 
If connection speeds are poor for people now then I dread to think what it will be like later when we all still have an extra 5GB to download :(

I think I might skip this tonight and wake up early again and download the rest at 7am like I did with the 60GB files. I have a feeling not many of us will have this playable by 2am.

It's made me very sceptical, I read the 'review' PC gamer did and made my choice based upon that, stuck the money I had aside for it on the Steam edition and am now downloading.

I just hope I can run it ok on my 780!
 
I have 10 leave days to take before now and the months end.

I feel that my daughters birthday tomorrow is a good enough reason to take the day off, the fact that GTAV coincides with this is merely good fortune.

This just screams of jealousy to me?

They aren't getting copies for nothing, they are giving free advertisement and likely an excellent review of their product.

I couldn't care less if a few people got the game early if they gave it a good, honest review, the guy was in remission from cancer last time I heard, there's more important things to life than worrying about someone getting a game before you.
 
I am planning to play it for a few hours when it unlocks tonight. Of course that depends on downloading the release patch and the game servers not dying.

If it does have issues then its no issue, got plenty of time to play it once R* have ironed out the bugs :)

A lot of effort goes into making reviews, it's not as simple as you might think - so they are definitely not 'free'.
 
Some one from Reddit has uploaded the game files to Mega for a quicker download. Would we be allowed to link this or not

Thanks!! I can 100% get ready for tomorrow now! I just hope these drivers are fine, the drivers before these messed up my SLI :(

Hmm better ask a mod about that. I posted the KAT CJSkeys preload link that was official and I got told off (rightfully so though)
