*** The Official Bloodborne Thread ***

Ive had to put it down. Beat Rom on my first go but the 3 hunters on the next level all attack at once and no matter where I go or what I do they destroy me. I'm level 71 with a plus 6 cleaver and holy sword. Aaaarrrrrggggghhhhhh!

I ran back to the chapel lamp after meeting the 3 hunters. Cheesed two of them round the doorway killing them through the wall one at a time. The third glitched somewhere and managed to kill himself, which was nice.

Something beast in the ailing loren dungeon is an absolute nightmare, so left him for now and made the defiled chalice. Done the first boss in there, so far its fine but the fire dog will be a pain with lowered health!

I like that the dungeons now feel challenging but i am finding them very dull/boring which is a shame, needs mkre variety imo

I am onto Margo's wet-nurse just had one attempt last night which got him down to about 50% before I got too cocky and he did some sort of backwards attack which 1 shot me.

Have been avoiding guides so no idea how many more bosses are left as of yet, but still thoroughly enjoying this game.

I am certain this is where I am. Cage Lift with no door, on the way down I saw a opening in a window and stepped in and this area leads to 2-3 walking brains that I can't beat yet......Like you say, as they are tough I know they are protecting something, so I have not continued beyond this section yet (I imagine to continue the level I should stay in the lift all the way down and explore etc).

Gonna have a quick game now, even though I wasn't going to!!

The lift down is just a shortcut back to an earlier level. Not entirely sure what the point of it is because there is nothing to ever go back there for. Bit odd.

But yes you're in the right place - you'll still have to hunt around for it though but if you keep progressing you'll encounter an event, at which point you can avoid the 3 brain enemies and enter via a locked door from the previous zone. (if you found the key there).

Either way - I just run by those brain things or equip the 200+ frenzy resistance rune and graverobber set which gives you plenty resistance to kill 1, use a sedative then kill another etc.

I recommend just searching that area after gearing for it, then coming back out and putting your normal gear back on to move forward with the level. Or come back and do it later.

Level 55 now and finished off Vicar "The Beast" Amelia last night. Literally got up punching the air, and my girlfriend was actually going berserk when her health was down to 10%. What a buzz! I've never had a game give me this sort of satisfaction.

My method was, as someone mentioned above, work on taking her limbs out first. Maybe start with the arms, then work around them as best you can. Small one handed axe is the best, the big one seemed cumbersome to me at the start. Then when she's trying to heal, get the big axe and do charge attacks!

Now I'm onto the next section of the game and I'm really impressed with how much it's "opened up", although I'm sure it's not that much opened but it certainly feels that way. Almost lost 50,000 blood echoes, and it took me 15 minutes of careful planning to get them back. Managed it though! :D

Quick question, I'm not on PSN, is this why I've not been called into someone else's game?

I did it the hard way and beat the brains! Found the rock and made the holy blade 10. Seems ok, but I am level 120ish so didn't notice a huge difference.

I beat the nurse as well, so gonna go back and try and beat the other bosses I skipped as I am certain I am close to the end now. Not actually sure where to go now though as the nurse area didn't seem to open up any areas that I noticed.

Thanks for that. I thought no one could get into you're lantern area but they took it in turns to come in one at a time :D

Just had my bum handed to me by the one reborn so might fight pearl instead. Level 75 and its nice how theres always something WAY more powerful just around the corner!

The one reborn first time I got smothered by the fireballs coming in at you from above. Once I learned to dodge those on my second attempt I just concentrated on the legs and anything I felt I could hit. Beat it on my second attempt. I managed to run straight there from the lamp but it isn't easy avoiding all the weird skull things.

Paarl was a bitch. I had a few vodkas the other night and had another go at him and apparently I beat him. Can't remember anything about it though :p

Haha yeah I just beat him second go. Ive totally surprised myself with this game as, although I love gaming,I'm not really very good. Really pleased with myself for getting this far

You can run up the stairs and kill the adds :)

The one reborn reminded me of Tower Knight from demon souls! If i remember right, he had archers all around the top that you could take out first?

Defiled chalice is giving me some jip so having to farm up some exp to level up a bit more! Got hp to 50, plus 15%via runes

Strength and skill at 40 each, stamina is only at 27 though so maybe i should up that as it does add physical def too?

I found stamina less important in Bloodborne because you get so many hits and most hits stagger enemies too.
But at only 27 you'll still get decent improvements from it so prob worth doing. I went to 40 and after that it takes about 8-10 levels to give you any more stamina.

I found XP insanely easy to come by compared to other Souls game though so easy enough to level up. In NG+, I was getting more levels per area even after hitting lvl 100 which was quite surprising.

Thanks mate will get that up a bit then! I am at the end of ng+ just focusing on chalice stuff before refighting the last boss :)

Going back to the last sort of area to get xp, 120,000ish between lamps and repeat very quick

Yeah as far as I know the hard caps don't take into account your overall level - other than PHY DEF. So you'll still get a good Stamina boost but you prob won't get much of a defence increase on your levels any more.

but...the higher you get it, the more effect those 3% PHY and 4% ALL reductions do. I tested them and survived boss hits with them on and died with them off from the same hits so they were making the difference for me.

Yup farm those pigs! lol
The enemies even kill each other so win win.

It was quite funny seeing those 5 shadow figures charge the 2 pigs then the pigs do the charge attack and knock them all over like bowling pins. haha

Didnt realise they would attack each other! Did do a charged r2 on a pigs ass and it stuns him, then you fist him lol wtf poor fella, best game ever 11/10 :D

Yeah if you run around to where the bell maiden spawns then agro the 5 guys and run towards the pigs they all fight then you can just clean up.

But aye the visceral attack on those pigs is a little disturbing. :D
A hunters got to do what a hunters got to do. It's no place for the squirmish.
