The *Official* Eve Online Thread

Why repair it all and trash it again. Seems counter-intuitive to me.

Was getting bored again , plus only 17 days left till I have the skills for the Chimera then I will try a few level 5's.
It would have taken ages to get the standings up to a level I could have done level 4's never mind level 5's with the other factions.

Reactivated one of my two main accounts (also have a recon alt) a few days back, interesting to see the changes.

Not sure as to what to actually do in-game at the moment, tempted to go back into piracy but it killed me ratting back to -1.9 to enable to enter high-sec. 0.0 Piracy is fine, but requires too much logistical planning for a quick gank & search - I tend to fly with scouting alts, but they are also combat ready.

Did a bit of exploration to relearn probing, much easier now - but took me a bit of getting used to.

http://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/world-news/corporation-spotlight-es-and-whizz/

In an effort to bring you more information about your friends and neighbors, as well as enemies and rivals, we introduce the first of our semi-regular "Corporation Spotlight" series.

Our first target in the spotlight is the corporation “Es and Whizz” of “Hedonistic Imperative” [RELAX] who on the 5th of this month celebrated its 10th anniversary.

The corporation evolved from a humble smuggling operation moving illegal goods within the empires to a full blown manufacturing concern providing an end-to-end illegal products solution.

For the entire month there will be celebrations including (but not limited to);

Special Illegal goods discounts across New Eden.
Instructional classes in the illegal markets and the end-to-end production of illegal goods (In Conjunction with EUNI).
A special fleet operation for friends, family, customers and the general public to join in on.
For further information on the celebrations contact Zam Zumah and Ni-Zha, "The Commisar of Truth."

Well unfortunately after 8 years playing the game I've finally hung up my "EVE" boots. Shame I can't do anything with the accounts but whatever I've had my fun with them, Thanks CCP for a good 8 years playing.

Hmm interesting, being part of a drug cartel would be a new things to do, do you get involved in much PVP?, also how does the pay work for members (in piracy you get solo loot + a share of the monthly payout for example)

Now that I'm done with Dying light, I was all set to spend a couple of weeks in Nullsec stockpiling some isk and then applying to E's and Whizz for a new experience. That plan fell on it's back when I used the 4 hour grace period to buy plex only to remember as I checked that I gave away all my money and ships when I quit last year.
Is there any way to join in the E's and Whizz events on a small budget? I'm tempted to just fit a Venture for Gas mining (if I have those skills) and see what I can find. I'm in Null anyway, so can pop to the nearest gas area to see what's about.

Jakspyder recruits for us. I am a self-imposed pleb with no responsibility as I burned myself out running a WH corp many moons ago. I am just a F1 monkey these days and do what I am told.

By and large though the PVP we do is small scale stuff and naturally we don't want enemies but customers. Pay is very fair. I still make my money by exploring plexes though because tbh nothing you are going to do in the game is going to give that level of pay for the low risk.

For a start all of our stuff we use is cheap fits. The only time people use more expensive fits is off corp business or depending on skills running some relevant sites but you can do this with a battlecruiser and a few MJD jumps etc.

Again give us a shout ingame. Jakspyder (OcUK) ingame is Bum Shadow and he recruits for us or you can pop into the channel Narcotics and see who is in there to help you.

We did a defense yesterday and the ships were provided for us if you are worried about expense.

The things I like about Es and Whizz are:

You get asked in PVP if you could go on TS never told. If you can't ie when I am at work no-one minds.
You can disappear and people welcome you back not ask why you haven't done your allotted 5 nights per week.
You get to meet all the denizens of New Eden and don't really get enemies as such.
People are chilled and relaxed.
There are no drama llamas.
No leadership egos where you get some chap who is convinced he's the next Clausewitz or Guderian.
I guess it's all very unEVE in a way and I really like it like that.

Sounds good, at the moment I've got a mix of T3 cruisers, HAC's command ships, Recons but fully geared on a few different races at sub-cap level - I'll be consolidating my stuff into ISK but anything in particular I should keep?.

99% of my experience is pvp, either 0.0 (BoB @ Reikoku/Lotka–Volterra @ Shinra) or low-sec (Turbulent/The United) so this will be quite a change!

Weird according to API updates all my chars are still training and completing skills >72 hours since their accounts expired - one is coming up on 2 months.

I get that on my inactive accounts and when I log in I get the bad news. Maybe you'll be lucky.

Come on Rroff log in and check you know you want to I am sure you have a PLEX somewhere or enough for one from all the WH bonanza loot in a 4hr window!

Can't believe no-one has asked this - can I have your stuff?

Maybe he has figured you kind of sell the accounts for cold hard cash if you are so inclined. Plenty of people do that. Even if it is against the EULA.

Can't see myself coming back to the game, short of a very significant swing in attitude from CCP.

I got into the game from a fairly different angle to most - watched my brother play for quite awhile without the game ever interesting me until I saw them flying dreads and started the game with the goal of training for a moros (little knowing how long that would take heh).

Over the years quite often ran into things like - I'd just finished my moros training queue which included quite a lot of drone skills when a week later they announced they were removing drone capabilities from dreads :S fortunately I was planning on other uses for the character as well - if it had been a dedicated moros pilot that would have been really annoying.

Then a bit later and just after I'd tracking rigged and spent quite a bit of my own ISK fitting the corp moroses (plural?) for a fairly insane tracking setup they announced they were changing XL turrets so that the biggest penalty to their chance to hit was signature radius and the tracking fit I'd just done was effectively reduced in usefulness by a couple of orders of magnitude :S

And a fair few things like that - none of which on their own is a big deal but when added up is another matter - so having a dev who patently barely knows the first thing about carriers making big changes to features of them that take a lot of time and effort to skill up for was the last straw.
